Our engineers and space scientists are on a mission to eliminate the connectivity gaps faced by today’s five billion mobile subscribers and finally bring broadband to the billions who remain unconnected. Position Overview We are seeking an Associate Electrical Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, collaborative, and eager to contribute to cutting-edge aerospace projects. Key Responsibilities Collaborate with engineering teams to design, test, and support the integration of electrical harnesses for spacecraft and ground systems. Create detailed electrical schematics, select wiring, connectors, back shells, and other harness components, ensuring compliance with company and industry standards. Develop and execute test plans to verify functionality, reliability, and performance of electrical harness systems. Conduct thorough testing and validation procedures, analyze test data, and troubleshoot issues to meet design requirements. Prepare comprehensive technical documentation, including interface control documents, system schematics, block diagrams, harness drawings, and installation procedures. Work closely with multidisciplinary teams (power, RF, command and data handling, and other subsystems) to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems. Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Experience: A minimum of 0–2 years of industry experience or recent graduate with hands-on project experience. Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of space environment and industry standards. Understanding of harness design principles, cable routing, shielding, and EMI/EMC considerations. Proficiency in CAD software for harness design (e.g., Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD Electrical, CATIA, Mentor Graphics). Experience with electrical simulation and analysis tools (e.g., SPICE, MATLAB). Prior experience in electrical harness design through internships, co-op programs, or academic projects related to aerospace engineering. Soft Skills Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities. Ability to think critically, propose creative solutions, and adapt to evolving project requirements. Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy in documentation and design. Technology Stack CAD tools: Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD Electrical, CATIA, Mentor Graphics. Electrical simulation tools: SPICE, MATLAB. Familiarity with schematic capture tools. Physical Requirements Ability to work in a standard office environment and use a computer for extended periods. Occasional hands-on work with hardware in lab environments. This job description may not be inclusive to the duties and responsibilities listed. That number is real. WorkMundi's database shows 144,883 open engineer roles across the world. India has the most with 31,687 jobs, followed by the United States with 30,084. If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.

Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.

Next, learn who's hiring. Accenture has posted 2,801 engineer roles. andurilindustries, speechify, and jobgether are also actively recruiting. If you're applying to one of these names, research their hiring patterns and interview style before you apply. That homework pays off.

When you interview, expect the question every engineer hears: 'Tell me about a time you had to debug a problem that wasn't in your job description.' Have a specific story ready—not a general one. Name the tools, the deadline pressure, and what you learned. Hiring managers listen for whether you see problem-solving as part of the role itself, not a favour.
