Amazon is seeking a Senior Prototyping Engineer to join the AWS Prototyping and AI Customer Engineering team. As part of an agile AI enabled development team you will support AWS customers to develop prototypes specific to their articulated strategic vision for new products and services. Our Prototyping and AI Customer Engineering (PACE) capability is designed to help our customers leverage this new way of working to deliver tangible technology and business outcomes using lean principles, iterative AI/GenAI powered agile development, agentic approaches through multi-functional teams and a lightweight rapid development cycle. The prototyping team is a hands‐on team of cross functional developers supporting AWS customers to build rapid MVP experiments adapted to their specific, innovation focused, use cases. The role of a Prototyping Engineer is to apply these methods to assemble and deliver technology and business outcomes for the world's leading clients. The job will cover the LATAM geography, with some traveling to customer sites. Key job responsibilities Architect, develop, test and implement loosely coupled distributed software solutions. Research and employ up-to-date technological developments in customer engagements. Drive the AWS platform by aligning customer requirements with AWS service teams' roadmaps. This role will focus on customers using AWS for research, development, and innovation. Author or contribute to AWS customer‐facing publications such as white‐papers, tutorials, blogs, etc. Position requires travel, generally, between 0 - 25%. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully.
