The role will focus on building relationships with institutional investors, financial advisers, wealth managers, family offices, investment platforms, intermediaries and other relevant distribution partners. The successful candidate will combine strong commercial capability with a solid understanding of investment products, asset management and the needs of different investor segments. RESPONSIBILITIES Business Development & Growth Develop and execute a structured business development strategy aligned with the firm's growth objectives. Identify and prioritise target markets, client segments and prospective distribution partners. Build and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified business opportunities. Generate new leads through networking, referrals, industry events, professional relationships and targeted prospecting. Manage the complete business development cycle, from initial engagement through to onboarding and ongoing relationship management. Develop and deliver compelling presentations, pitches and investment proposition materials. Work closely with senior management and investment teams to convert opportunities into sustainable commercial relationships. Client & Distribution Relationships Build trusted, long-term relationships with key decision-makers across the investment and wealth-management ecosystem. Develop relationships with asset consultants, financial advisers, wealth managers, institutional investors, family offices, investment platforms and other intermediaries. Understand client investment objectives and communicate relevant investment solutions effectively. Act as a key commercial contact for prospective and existing clients. Gather market intelligence and client feedback to inform product and distribution strategy. Market Development Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, investment flows and changes in investor preferences. Identify emerging opportunities within the asset management and wealth-management markets. Research prospective clients and develop account-specific engagement strategies. Represent the firm at conferences, industry events, client meetings and networking opportunities. Develop strategic partnerships that can expand market reach and distribution capability. Internal Collaboration Work closely with investment, marketing, operations and leadership teams to ensure a consistent client experience. Translate investment capabilities and portfolio strategies into clear, commercially relevant client propositions. Provide regular reporting on pipeline activity, opportunities, conversion rates and business development performance. Ensure all business development activities comply with applicable regulatory, governance and internal requirements. EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATION 5+ years' experience in business development, distribution, institutional sales, wealth management or a related role within financial services. Demonstrable track record of generating new business and developing commercial relationships. Strong understanding of asset management, investment products and the investment decision-making process. Existing network within relevant investment, wealth-management or intermediary markets. Proven ability to manage a sales pipeline from prospecting through to conversion. Excellent presentation, negotiation and communication skills. Strong commercial acumen and ability to identify and develop opportunities. High level of professionalism, integrity and relationship-building capability.
