Product Owner

We are seeking an experienced Product Owner III to lead digital commerce fulfilment initiatives. This role applies agile product ownership principles across the full fulfilment value chain — from order placement through to last-mile delivery and returns. You will drive end-to-end process optimisation, systems alignment, and scalable infrastructure design to enable efficient, future-fit operations at scale. Key Responsibilities Define user stories and prioritize the team backlog to streamline execution. Lead solution design workshops, requirements gathering, and wireframe creation. Ensure UI alignment with feature requirements and backend systems. Document impacts on data models, business logic, and integrations. Guide product development and coach junior product owners. Refine and sequence product backlog, ensuring readiness for PI planning. Participate in ART-level events and agile ceremonies. Drive omnichannel customer engagement and ensure a consistent customer experience. Provide strategic input into customer acquisition, retention, and conversion. Support fulfilment infrastructure design and logistics solution implementation. Qualifications & Experience Degree in Business, IT, Engineering, Marketing, or related field (essential). Certified Product Owner / SAFe Product Owner (essential). 6+ years’ experience in a Lead or Senior Product Owner role within agile teams. Proven success launching complex product features and translating business strategy into consumer products. Strong commercial experience in digital-led business development environments. Ecommerce, retail, and customer loyalty experience (essential). Knowledge of compliance frameworks (POPIA, Electronic Information Act, etc.). Exposure to African digital markets (advantageous). Fulfilment-specific experience in supply chain, logistics, and ecommerce operations. Key Competencies Independent, motivated self-starter with resilience in fast-paced environments.
