Macs Engineering is currently looking to recruit an experienced and qualified Sheetmetal Worker to join their team in Mackay QLD. The successful applicant will need to possess and undertake: - Have a willingness to work with strong attention to detail - Be punctual and responsible - Proficiency in both MIG and TIG welding - Ability to read and interpret drawings to fine specifications - Experience in handling a range of materials, including difficult materials - Experience with materials such as steel, aluminium & polymer - Cutting material, weld prep, grinding - Adherence to WHS - Select types of sheetmetal according to building or design plans - Measure and mark dimensions and reference lines on metal sheets - Duct fabrication in some roles - Install metal sheets with supportive frameworks - Fabricate or alter parts at construction sites - Manoeuvre and anchor large sheet metal parts Skills & Attributes: - At least 3 years’ experience in steel/aluminium sheetmetal and/or duct fabrication - Certificate III in Engineering (Fabrication) or equivalent - Ability to work in a team environment Salary range is $70,000-$85,000pa commensurate with experience.
