Amarsons Pty Ltd ATF The Bhangu Family Trust t/a Amar Logistics Heavy Truck Drivers (ANZSCO: 733111) Full-time/Permanent $80,000 - $90,000 (salary will be considered commensurate to qualifications and experience) Duties and Responsibilities: *Transport commercial freight using heavy and multi-combination vehicles across metropolitan, regional and interstate routes. *Undertake scheduled long-haul journeys, including eastbound runs and services to regional and remote destinations. *Review consignment details, delivery documentation and planned routes before departure and meet allocated delivery windows. *Perform pre-departure and post-journey vehicle inspections and report mechanical defects, damage or safety issues without delay. *Participate in or oversee the safe loading and unloading of freight at single and multiple collection and delivery locations. *Check the positioning and weight distribution of cargo and apply suitable chains, straps and other load-restraint devices. *Communicate regularly with dispatch personnel regarding journey progress, delays, revised routes and delivery instructions. *Prepare and maintain accurate work diaries, run sheets, proof-of-delivery documents and vehicle inspection records. *Operate navigation, communication and fleet-tracking systems to follow designated routes and record delivery progress. *Observe all applicable requirements concerning driving hours, fatigue management, road safety, load restraint and chain of responsibility. *Immediately notify management of accidents, damaged freight, delivery discrepancies or other transport-related incidents. *Refuel, clean and conduct authorised routine checks on assigned vehicles while maintaining courteous and professional customer service. Qualifications and Experience: *AQF Certificate II or III in a relevant field or equivalent relevant industry experience *Valid Australian MC truck licence *Minimum of 1 year's recent heavy or multi-combination driving experience *Experience undertaking metropolitan, regional or interstate freight deliveries *Sound geographic knowledge of Australian road networks *Knowledge of fatigue management, load restraint, chain of responsibility and heavy-vehicle safety *Basic mechanical knowledge and ability to identify and report vehicle faults *Fatigue Management Certificate and Load Restraint Certificate *Ability to pass drug and alcohol testing and a pre-employment medical *MSIC Card, Dangerous Goods Licence, BFM accreditation and forklift ticket where required, or willingness to obtain them Maintenance Planner (ANZSCO: 312911 - Maintenance Planner) Full-time/Permanent $80,000 - $90,000 (salary will be considered commensurate to qualifications and experience) Duties and Responsibilities: *Administer a comprehensive asset register covering the company’s prime movers, trucks, trailers and freight-handling equipment. *Keep accurate records of registrations, warranties, service histories, inspection dates, odometer readings and reported mechanical faults. *Formulate planned maintenance programs by considering vehicle utilisation, manufacturer specifications and roadworthiness obligations. *Schedule servicing, inspections and repairs to preserve fleet availability and reduce disruption to transport operations. *Create maintenance work orders and organise the personnel, replacement parts, contractors and facilities required for each job. *Assess defects reported by drivers and determine repair priorities according to safety risks, compliance requirements and operational needs. *Liaise with drivers, dispatch personnel and management to arrange vehicles for maintenance and return them to service efficiently. *Track stocks of commonly required components and maintenance supplies and organise replacement stock when necessary. *Forecast labour, parts and external repair expenses and assist with maintenance budgeting and expenditure control. *Engage and coordinate mechanics, tyre suppliers, inspectors and other contractors and evaluate their pricing and service standards. *Preserve complete records of work orders, inspections, repairs, invoices, maintenance histories and completed services. *Review breakdown patterns, repeated defects and vehicle downtime and provide reports supporting fleet reliability, safety and compliance. Relevant Qualification/Experience *Relevant AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma, or at least 3 years of relevant experience in place of the qualification *Applicants with a relevant qualification will require a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience *Experience planning or coordinating maintenance for heavy vehicles, trailers or commercial transport equipment *Knowledge of preventive maintenance, vehicle inspections, repair scheduling and fleet roadworthiness requirements *Experience maintaining asset registers, work orders, maintenance schedules and service histories *Competence in Microsoft Office and fleet or maintenance-management software Transport Manager (ANZSCO: 149413 - Transport Company Manager) Full-time/Permanent $80,000 - $90,000 (salary will be considered commensurate to qualifications and experience) Duties and Responsibilities: *Direct the company’s metropolitan, WA regional and interstate freight activities, including express and door-to-door services. *Develop transport schedules after considering freight quantities, delivery priorities, customer deadlines and available operational resources. *Assign appropriate drivers, prime movers and trailers according to the dimensions, weight, destination and delivery priority of each consignment. *Monitor vehicle locations and delivery status through transport-management, communication and fleet-tracking platforms. *Liaise with customers, drivers, warehouse teams, freight depots and external providers to coordinate collections and deliveries. *Respond to vehicle breakdowns, delivery delays, road disruptions and missed delivery windows and arrange alternative solutions where required. *Plan and organise the acquisition, leasing or deployment of vehicles, trailers, fuel, replacement parts and other transport resources. *Work with the Maintenance Planner to arrange inspections, servicing and repairs and ensure unroadworthy vehicles are not dispatched. *Review expenditure on fuel, employees, contractors, maintenance and fleet operations and introduce measures to control costs. *Implement procedures governing the secure loading, restraint, transportation and unloading of freight to minimise loss or damage. *Ensure drivers and transport operations comply with licensing, work-diary, fatigue-management, load-restraint, chain-of-responsibility and safety obligations. *Lead and train transport personnel and prepare management reports concerning delivery performance, fleet utilisation, operating costs and compliance.
