Seven Corp on behalf of Trinity ELC Management Pty Ltd About the Company Trinity ELC Management Pty Ltd operates Queanbeyan Childcare Centre, a childcare service committed to providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children to learn and develop. The centre focuses on delivering high-quality early childhood education and care programs that support children’s emotional, social, physical, and intellectual growth. We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced Child Care Educator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for supervising and supporting children in a childcare setting, implementing educational programs, and ensuring compliance with childcare standards and regulations. This position is a full-time ongoing position, working 38 hours per week based in Queanbeyan, NSW. Main tasks - Curate and implement age-appropriate learning environments and discovery areas aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF). - Create learning environments that inspire independent inquiry and cater to each child's strengths and interests. - Facilitate collaborative play and employ positive behaviour support strategies to foster children’s emotional intelligence. - Lead structured sessions, including interactive storytelling and creative play, to promote early literacy and engagement. - Maintain a vigilant presence during indoor and outdoor recreational activities to ensure a safe and inclusive environment. - Oversee daily transitions, mealtimes, and organized rest periods while upholding strict sanitation and hygiene standards. - Maintain accurate developmental records, observations, and assessment-and-planning cycles. - Track individual learning progress, establish growth goals, and support children's projects through critical reflection. - Accurately record incidents, trauma, or illnesses and notify families within required timeframes. - Ensure adherence to Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) procedures and national childcare regulations. - Maintain high hygiene standards, safe manual handling, and strict adherence to WHS guidelines. - Contribute to the service's Quality Improvement Plan (QIP) and stay current with early childhood best practices. - Identify and report environmental hazards to management to ensure continuous regulatory compliance. Qualifications and Experience - Certificate III or higher in Early Childhood Education and Care (or related). - At least 1 year of relevant full-time work experience in the industry within the past 5 years. Skills and Attributes - Strong communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work effectively within a team environment. - Genuine passion for working with children and supporting their development. - High level of patience, responsibility, and attention to detail. - Ability to maintain a safe and nurturing environment for children. Annual salary will be between $79,000.00 to $80,000.00 (plus superannuation) depending on level of experience. Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
