VeiraMal Consulting is seeking an experienced Motor Mechanic to join Pickering Luxury Garage in Southport. Our client is looking for an enthusiastic individual who can work well in a team, with strong communication skills. Summary: We are seeking a skilled and reliable Vehicle Motor Mechanic to join our team. The role involves diagnosing, repairing, and servicing a wide range of vehicles, ensuring high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction. Key tasks include conducting routine maintenance, identifying mechanical issues, using diagnostic equipment, and performing repairs in line with safety and manufacturer standards. The ideal candidate will have proven experience, strong problem-solving skills, and a commitment to delivering excellent service. Key Responsibilities: - Inspecting vehicle engine and mechanical/electrical components to diagnose issues accurately - Inspecting vehicle computer and electronic components to repair, maintain, and upgrade systems - Conducting routine maintenance work such as replacing fluids, lubricating parts, and adjusting components aiming to vehicle functionality and longevity - Troubleshooting issues and fixing them aiming to maximum reliability and functionality - Schedule future maintenance sessions and advise motorists about good vehicle usage - Repair or replace broken of faulty parts and fix issues - Provide accurate estimates (cost, time, effort) for a repair or maintenance job - Keep work and issue logs - Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition - Perform routine automotive maintenance tasks, including fluid changes, tyre replacements, suspension/steering repairs, and OBD scanning - Must be willing to upskill and keep working knowledge of current industry best practices in automotive repair - Conduct extensive diagnostic procedures to determine the sources of customer problems and provide accurate repair recommendations - Inspect vehicles according to the state's requirements for emissions and safety - Conduct necessary repairs and take vehicles for test drives to verify soundness - Maintain legible and accurate paperwork for both the customer and company records - Clean and maintain the work environment to ensure equipment longevity and workplace safety Performance Appraisal: Three months after the starting date, then half yearly or when required. Qualification & Requirements: - Provide Relevant Qualifications - Effectively use hand tools and diagnostic equipment - Able to handle hazardous materials safely and tolerate exposure to electrical hazards - Able to perform heavy physical labour - Great attentions to details - No skin allergies or reactions to grease, oil or petrol - Flexible hours available - 1 year of relevant work experience required for this role - RWC license not required but is an advantage Remuneration: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 + Super Location: 41-43 Bailey Cres, Southport QLD 4215 If you are interested and think you will be a good fit for this role, please apply.
