Production Supervisor - UDC

The Union Dairy Company has an annual processing capacity of 300 million liters of raw milk and began production in 2017. Located in Penola, South Australia – the purpose-built plant provides a state-of-the-art factory and is the newest of its kind in the southern hemisphere. We are currently seeking a suitably experienced Production Supervisor to join our team in Penola, SA MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: -Supervise daily production operations to ensure production targets, quality standards, and safety requirements are achieved -Lead, coach, and support production employees while fostering a positive team culture and ensuring adequate staffing across all production processes -Monitor production performance, identify issues, and implement corrective actions to improve efficiency, minimise downtime, and reduce waste -Ensure compliance with Workplace Health & Safety (WHS), food safety, quality standards, GMP, and company policies and procedures -Monitor milk solids retention, production losses, and product yields while identifying opportunities to improve process efficiency and minimise waste -Coordinate production schedules and work collaboratively with maintenance and other departments to maximise plant reliability and operational performance -Support continuous improvement initiatives through problem-solving, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective actions -Maintain accurate production records, inventory, and shift handover documentation to support efficient production operations SKILLS & EXPERIENCES: -Relevant qualification in Manufacturing, Food Processing, Engineering, or a related discipline (desirable) -Minimum 2 years' experience in a Production Supervisor or similar leadership role within a manufacturing or food processing environment -Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills with the ability to lead by example -Sound knowledge of Workplace Health & Safety (WHS), food safety, quality systems, and production processes -Excellent organisational, problem-solving, and time management skills with the ability to prioritise competing demands -Ability to work independently, build effective working relationships, and maintain a high level of attention to detail Salary Range: $115,000 - $130,000 AUD Please forward your application to recruitment@midfield.com.au The Union Dairy Company is an Equal Opportunity Employer
