Data Analyst

VeiraMal Consulting is seeking an experienced Data Analyst to join our business in Melbourne. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who can work well in a team, with strong communication skills. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Data Analyst to join our growing team. The successful applicant will be responsible for collecting, analysing, and interpreting data to support business decision-making, identify trends, and improve operational performance. This role requires strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to communicate findings effectively to stakeholders. Key Responsibilities - Collect, clean, validate, and analyse data from multiple sources. - Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and data visualisations to support business operations. - Interpret data and identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for business improvement. - Prepare regular and ad hoc reports for management and key stakeholders. - Work closely with internal teams to understand reporting requirements and provide data-driven insights. - Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality of organisational data. - Assist in developing and improving data collection processes and reporting systems. - Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and recommend strategies to enhance business performance. - Identify anomalies and data quality issues and implement appropriate solutions. - Support business planning and strategic decision-making through analytical reporting. Essential Requirements -Bachelor’s degree in data Analytics, Information Technology, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Business Analytics, or a related discipline. - Relevant experience in a Data Analyst role (or equivalent combination of qualifications and experience). - Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and SQL. - Experience with data visualisation tools such as Power BI or Tableau. - Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. - High level of attention to detail and organisational skills.
