About the Opportunity We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced EHS Officer to join our Auckland-based team on a part-time basis (3 days per week) . Reporting into the Pacific EHSQ team, you will play a key role in supporting our New Zealand operations, driving compliance, continuous improvement, and fostering a strong safety culture. This position offers exposure to a variety of business functions and projects, creating excellent opportunities for professional growth within a global organisation. What You Will Be Doing Develop, implement, and maintain JCI's Integrated Business Management Systems (EHSQ). Ensure compliance with company systems through regular audits and assessments. Conduct and coordinate site audits, inspections, and compliance reviews. Support EHSQ reporting and performance metrics across the Pacific region. Manage non-conformance reports (NCRs) and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Lead quality assurance activities and monitor performance against established procedures. Deliver EHSQ and compliance training to employees and stakeholders. Assist with incident investigations and the implementation of corrective and preventive actions. Ensure compliance with relevant health, safety, environmental, and quality legislation. Conduct risk assessments and develop safe work method statements. Coordinate Health & Safety Committee activities and communicate outcomes to key stakeholders. Provide expert advice on health, safety, environmental, welfare, and quality matters. Manage Return to Work processes and injury management activities. Champion best practices and drive a proactive culture aligned to our commitment to Zero Harm. About You To be successful in this role, you will bring: Qualification in Quality Assurance or a related discipline (preferred). Minimum Certificate IV in Workplace Health and Safety or equivalent. Lead Auditor qualifications in ISO 9001, ISO 45001, and ISO 14001. 3-5 years' experience within a heavy manufacturing, industrial, or similar environment. Incident investigation training or qualification (preferred). Strong knowledge of workplace health and safety legislation and quality management systems. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and SharePoint. Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and influencing skills. A proactive approach and passion for creating safe, high-performing workplaces. Compliance Requirements Full New Zealand working rights.
