Job Summary Join a high-impact test automation team where you'll play a critical role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of innovative software solutions. As a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET), you'll leverage your expertise in Python to design and build scalable automation frameworks, develop robust automated testing solutions, and collaborate closely with software engineers throughout the development lifecycle. This role offers the opportunity to influence testing strategy, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and help deliver high-quality products in a fast-paced Agile environment. Experience with Python-based automation, CI/CD pipelines, and modern testing frameworks is essential, while exposure to regulated industries such as medical devices is a plus. Position Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) with a strong focus on Python development to join our dynamic Pod Test Automation team. In this role, you will be pivotal in enhancing our product development process through sophisticated test automation frameworks and comprehensive testing strategies using Python. Responsibilities: Python Test Automation Framework Development: Lead the design, development, and implementation of robust test automation frameworks in Python to streamline and enhance our software testing processes. Automated Test Development: Collaborate closely with the software development team to create, maintain, and execute automated tests in Python, ensuring our products meet the highest standards of quality and reliability. End-to-End Involvement: Engage in all phases of the software development lifecycle including requirements analysis, design, implementation, testing, and documentation to ensure seamless integration of test automation. Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the continuous improvement of our testing methodologies, tools, and processes, staying current with industry best practices and emerging technologies. Quality Assurance: Ensure that our software meets all regulatory and quality standards through meticulous testing and validation efforts. Performs other duties as required. Education and Experience: Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field. Experience: 5+ years of experience as a QA Engineer, SDET in software test automation with a strong emphasis on Python development. Experience in developing test frameworks and automated tests in Python. Technical Skills: Proficiency in Python and familiarity with test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., PyTest, Selenium with Python). Experience with CI/CD tools and version control systems (e.g., Jenkins, Git). Soft Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. Attention to Detail: Keen attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and thoroughness in your work. Preferred Skills and Competencies: Experience in Object Oriented Programming (OOPS) and Design Patterns Experience in building libs, CI and Code coverage Experience working closely with development and test teams. Knowledge of built in-external libraries Knowledge of Git Exposure to Agile environment Medical Device or other regulated industry experience is a plus.
