JOB DESCRIPTION ABOUT THE ROLE The FOX Data team is looking for a highly motivated and collaborative Senior Manager, Analytics Engineering to lead the data squad supporting FOX Sports. This role will help modernize how digital behavioral data is collected, standardized, governed, transformed, and activated across FOX’s platforms. Working closely with data leadership, this person will help evolve FOX’s analytics engineering practices while serving as a trusted partner to FOX Sports and FOX One business stakeholders. The ideal candidate brings a strong combination of data engineering and business intelligence expertise, sound judgment, and the communication skills needed to translate business needs into scalable, trusted data products. This role requires someone who can operate across three critical dimensions: stakeholder management, technical depth, and people leadership. The Senior Manager, Analytics Engineering will partner with business and technology leaders on large-scale data initiatives, convert complex business requirements into durable data solutions, and coach a growing team through clear feedback, prioritization, and direction as FOX’s data organization continues to evolve. A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES Lead the data squad supporting FOX Sports, including prioritization, execution, and delivery of analytics engineering and instrumentation work Partner with data leadership to modernize analytics engineering standards, processes, platform capabilities,AI implementations and ways of working Serve as a trusted partner to FOX Sports and FOX One stakeholders, translating business goals into clear technical requirements, data definitions, implementation plans, and scalable data products Lead large-scale data initiatives that require strong stakeholder management, cross-functional alignment, and thoughtful communication across business, product, engineering, analytics, and data teams Establish and improve standards for tracking, data quality, documentation, governance, reusable instrumentation practices, and downstream data usage Collaborate with product, engineering, analytics, and business teams to support accurate, scalable, and reliable data collection, transformation, and reporting Lead engineering and stakeholder discussions to ensure technical solutions align with business priorities and can scale across platforms and use cases Use analytics tools, data orchestration tools, and modern data platforms to support reliable data capture, transformation, reporting, and activation Identify opportunities to simplify, automate, and reduce redundancy across data processes, reporting workflows, and analytics engineering practices Manage, mentor, and develop team members, providing coaching, feedback, prioritization guidance, and thought leadership as the team and broader data organization continue to grow Stay current with developments in analytics engineering, AI, analytics instrumentation, optimization, privacy, data governance, and modern data management practices WHAT YOU WILL NEED Extensive experience leading analytics engineering functions, including analytics instrumentation, data collection, standardized reporting, and modern data platform initiatives Proven experience leading high-impact, cross-functional programs and teams in complex, stakeholder-driven environments, with the ability to influence strategy and execution across product, engineering, analytics, and business organizations Demonstrated ability to translate business objectives into scalable data products, analytics solutions, technical requirements, data definitions, reporting frameworks, and implementation roadmaps Strong technical foundation spanning analytics engineering, data engineering, and business intelligence, with the ability to balance hands-on technical understanding and strategic leadership Advanced SQL expertise with strong experience designing scalable data models, transformation pipelines, and analytics-ready datasets Experience with modern cloud data platforms and big data technologies, including Databricks, Apache Spark, AWS, Delta Lake, Airflow, Tableau and cloud-based data warehousing solutions. Experience with enterprise analytics and customer data platforms such as Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, Segment or similar technologies Strong understanding of how analytics engineering decisions impact downstream data platforms, reporting, experimentation, machine learning, and business decision-making Experience establishing analytics engineering standards, governance, documentation, and best practices that improve data quality, consistency, and scalability across the organization Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable insights for executive, technical, and non-technical audiences Proven people leadership experience, including hiring, coaching, performance management, career development, organizational planning, and building high-performing engineering teams Experience leading organizations through data modernization and transformation initiatives, with the ability to navigate evolving technologies, processes, and operating models while driving adoption and continuous improvement NICE TO HAVE, BUT NOT A DEALBREAKER Experience supporting sports, media, streaming, or direct-to-consumer digital products Experience with live event, video, subscription, or consumer-facing digital data products Experience supporting data governance, data quality, or platform migration initiatives Experience with experimentation, optimization, personalization, customer journey analytics, or audience data activation #Ll-CC1 #Ll-Hybrid Learn more about Fox Tech at https://tech.fox.com #foxtech We are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, gender identity, disability, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
