Key Responsibilities Responsible for development and implementation of integrated communications projects and cross-functional initiatives, serving as a trusted communications partner to business and functional teams, the broader Communications & Public Affairs organization, and Community Affairs to identify opportunities that enhance Applied Materials’ reputation and impact across the region. May lead functional teams or projects. Manage agency partnerships, communications budgets, and end-to-end execution across earned, shared, and owned channels, including PR, social media, digital marketing, and website content. Translate communications strategies into impactful brand, employee engagement, and communications programs that deliver measurable results. Advise and support local leadership on strategic communications and messaging; serve as an ambassador of the Applied Materials brand and corporate reputation. Manage community programs, including nonprofit partnerships, grantmaking and reporting, and employee volunteer programs. Oversee the development and management of strategic communications assets, ensuring consistency, quality, and alignment with Applied Materials' brand, messaging, and business priorities. Qualifications 7-10 years of experience across corporate communications, brand communications, internal communications; experience in the semiconductor or display sectors preferred. Strong command and fluency in English and Chinese (both written and spoken). Bachelor’s degree or above in Communications, Journalism, English, or Marketing. Ability to work independently in a fast‑ paced, high ‑ growth environment, with strong organizational and problem ‑solving skills. Strong judgment, project management, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams, and independently lead initiatives from strategy to execution. Preferred Qualifications Digital savvy with experience using data and analytics to measure communications effectiveness, generate insights, and optimize content and engagement strategies. Proficiency in developing executive-ready presentations and presenting communications plans, results, and recommendations to stakeholders. Language Proficiency Excellent proficiency in both oral and written communication skills in English and Chinese.
