Summary Job Description: Seeking Charge Nurse - Weekend Only! Full-Time, Nights (7P-7A), WOW Baptist Health ER & Urgent Care Sellersburg Job Duties: Responsible for acting as a resource nurse for the department. This is an entry-level leadership position responsible for the coordination of care on designated shifts. He/she will provide leadership to the staff members of the unit in patient care. This position will work alongside the team and provide direct patient care while determining needed staffing fluctuations during shifts, responding to departmental concerns, address immediate staff issues and coordinate patient flow. This position has immediate oversight of employees while performing the same or directly related work as those the position leads. About the Department: This hybrid emergency room and urgent care provides both types of care to patients conveniently under one roof. Patients will receive the appropriate level of care in a simple, cost effective one-stop location. The emergency room will provide care on a 24/7 basis with transport services available to handle high-acuity emergency situations needing surgery. Nurses at this location will have a background or training in emergency care. On-site imaging and laboratory services are also available. Qualifications: Graduate of approved nursing program. Current Indiana or compact state RN license. BLS for Healthcare Provider required. PALS required within 12 months of hire. ACLS required within 12 months of hire. NIH Stroke Scale Certification required within 10 weeks of hire. One year of nursing experience required.
