Lead and influence the evolution of enterprise network services supporting a complex global logistics organisation. Collaborate with regional and global teams across Product, Architecture, Cyber Security, Service Management, and Operations. Develop your leadership capabilities while coaching and growing a team of network engineering professionals. Contribute to standardisation, automation, service reliability, and continuous improvement initiatives across the network estate. Key Responsibilities: Lead and develop a team of Network Engineers and Senior Network Engineers, setting priorities, objectives, and performance expectations. Manage operational demand across incidents, service requests, problem investigations, and planned changes while balancing engineering delivery commitments. Oversee the delivery, operation, and continuous improvement of LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, and NFV services across regional sites. Coordinate technical escalations and major incident responses, ensuring effective collaboration with internal stakeholders, vendors, and delivery partners. Drive lifecycle management, technical debt reduction, automation initiatives, service standardisation, and reliability improvements. Partner with Product, Architecture, and Cyber Security teams to ensure alignment with global standards, reference architectures, and security controls. Manage regional network risks, capacity, resilience, performance, and supplier relationships while providing visibility of delivery progress and operational outcomes. What We Are Looking For: Continuous improvement mindset: we are looking for someone who brings a thoughtful improvement mindset, curious about how work gets done and motivated to make meaningful, sustainable improvements over time. Demonstrated experience leading network engineering teams within a large enterprise, service provider, systems integrator, or managed services environment. Strong technical understanding of enterprise LAN, WLAN, WAN, and SD-WAN technologies, including routing, switching, segmentation, resilience, security, and high availability. Experience delivering and operating network services across geographically distributed sites such as offices, warehouses, terminals, manufacturing facilities, or other operational environments. Knowledge of SD-WAN platforms such as Cisco Catalyst SD-WAN, Cisco Meraki, or Fortinet Secure SD-WAN, alongside practical understanding of network security principles and segmentation. Experience managing major incidents, technical escalations, root cause investigations, corrective action plans, and service improvement programmes. Strong stakeholder management, communication, people leadership, coaching, workforce planning, and vendor management capabilities. Familiarity with network automation, APIs, Python, Ansible, Infrastructure as Code, observability, SASE/SSE, cloud networking, Agile delivery, and ITIL practices is advantageous. Relevant professional certifications such as Cisco CCNP Enterprise, Cisco or Fortinet SD-WAN certifications, HPE Aruba, Juniper, or equivalent are desirable. #LIPOST Maersk is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace, and we embrace different styles of thinking. If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.

Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.

Next, learn who's hiring. Accenture has posted 2,801 engineer roles. andurilindustries, speechify, and jobgether are also actively recruiting. If you're applying to one of these names, research their hiring patterns and interview style before you apply. That homework pays off.

When you interview, expect the question every engineer hears: 'Tell me about a time you had to debug a problem that wasn't in your job description.' Have a specific story ready—not a general one. Name the tools, the deadline pressure, and what you learned. Hiring managers listen for whether you see problem-solving as part of the role itself, not a favour.
