About the Role IQVIA is seeking a motivated Junior Software Engineer to join our Customer360 (C360) program, a strategic initiative with executive visibility focused on consolidating healthcare professional (HCP) data from multiple sources into a unified, AI-ready platform. The platform integrates clinical, scientific, and digital profile data to create a comprehensive view of healthcare professionals and enable advanced analytics, AI applications, APIs, and data services. As a member of the C360 engineering team, you will contribute to the development of backend services, APIs, and data integrations that power the platform. Working alongside experienced engineers, you will help design, build, and maintain scalable microservices while gaining exposure to modern cloud-native technologies and AI-driven development practices. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain backend services and RESTful APIs using Python. Build and enhance microservices that support the C360 platform and related data products. Integrate and process data from multiple internal and external sources. Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code. Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and Agile ceremonies. Collaborate with senior engineers to design scalable and reliable solutions. Create and maintain automated tests to ensure software quality. Work with relational databases and contribute to data modeling and querying activities. Utilize AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity and accelerate learning. Continuously learn new technologies and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team. Required Qualifications Education Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience). Experience Approximately 2–3 years of professional software development experience . Experience developing production software with Python. Must-Have Technical Skills Strong proficiency in Python . Experience developing RESTful APIs and microservices . Solid understanding of SQL and relational databases. Working knowledge of Git and collaborative version control practices. Understanding of object-oriented programming and software engineering fundamentals. Familiarity with automated testing practices. Database Knowledge Candidates should be comfortable with fundamental database concepts, including: Tables Views Stored Procedures Aggregations Indexes Query optimization basics Writing and troubleshooting SQL queries Experience with PostgreSQL or similar relational database technologies is desirable. Exposure to Snowflake is a plus. Preferred Technical Skills Experience with any of the following technologies is highly desirable: Snowflake Kubernetes Docker Event-Driven Architecture Message Queues and Topics Asynchronous Processing Elasticsearch Basic ETL / Data Integration concepts Azure Cloud platforms and services GitLab CI/CD environments Cloud & Platform Environment The C360 platform leverages modern cloud-native technologies, including: Azure Kubernetes Dockerized services PostgreSQL Snowflake Elasticsearch Databricks GitLab CI/CD C loud operations or DevOps expertise is not required , although exposure to Azure or cloud environments is considered a strong advantage.
