Role and Responsibilities Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue and margin objectives. Lead the sales engineering team to identify, qualify, and secure high volume, long-term OEM partnership Mentor, lead, and develop a team of regional sales engineers to drive performance Serve as the primary technical point of contact for senior-level engineering stakeholders at major OEM partners Oversee the technical application process-providing specialized expertise to guide clients through design qualification, reliability activities, and optimal component pairings Identify industry trends, competitor product strengths, and emerging technological needs Act as the internal voice of the customer to influence R&D and product roadmap decision at HQ Work with sales, marketing teams to create compelling presentations, white papers, and proposals showcasing the total value proposition of Samsung compressor technology Guide customers in testing and qualifying new compressors Find business opportunities with new customers and expand market share in the residential/commercial HVAC sectors Technical support to HVAC OEM customers during qualification and reliability activities Assist as needed in developing the customer business case for new concept solutions Perform detailed engineering analysis to quantify cost savings or other customer benefits Provides daily interactions with Samsung sales, quality, R&D, and designated OEM partners Communication channels between Korea HQ and customers during sales activities Participate in trade show and exhibitions in connection with compressor business Ability to travel approx. 30% domestically (OEM manufacturing and R&D sites) Dynamic personality with great leadership, management, and sales Possess strong analytical capabilities and ability to manage tasks associated with development projects Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence C-level stakeholders Skills and Qualifications Bachelor’s degrees in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering 15+ years of experience in HVAC compressor sales or application engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership or senior technical role Experience with and understanding of compressor technology (rotary, scroll, inverter drives) and OEM HVAC system design (Heat Pump, Residential/Commercial AC) Experience leading technical teams and managing complex, long-cycle sales processes Professional experience and knowledge of project specifications and blueprints Experience with ASHRAE standards and regulations Prior experience as a leader in a team setting Fluent in Korean and English #LI-MS1 Life @ Samsung - https://www.samsung.com/us/careers/life-at-samsung/ Benefits @ Samsung - https://www.samsung.com/us/careers/benefits/ Regular full-time employees (salaried or hourly) have access to benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, 401(k), Employee Purchase Program, Tuition Assistance (after 12 months), Paid Time Off, Student Loan Program (after 12 months), Wellness Incentives, and many more. If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.
Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.
Next, learn who's hiring. Accenture has posted 2,801 engineer roles. andurilindustries, speechify, and jobgether are also actively recruiting. If you're applying to one of these names, research their hiring patterns and interview style before you apply. That homework pays off.
When you interview, expect the question every engineer hears: 'Tell me about a time you had to debug a problem that wasn't in your job description.' Have a specific story ready—not a general one. Name the tools, the deadline pressure, and what you learned. Hiring managers listen for whether you see problem-solving as part of the role itself, not a favour.
