Job Description: Job Summary We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Process Engineer (Senior) with strong expertise in III-V Epitaxy to drive the development and manufacturing of high performance semiconductor devices (such as lasers for AI data centers). The role centers on III-V epitaxial growth process development (MOCVD) combined with wafer fabrication, supporting both R&D and high-volume production. The candidate will play a key role in process optimization, yield improvement, and new product introduction (NPI). Key Responsibilities Lead the development, optimization, and qualification of III-V epitaxial growth processes (primarily MOCVD) for various device structures to meet R&D and production requirements. Drive continuous improvement of process quality such as: uniformity, defect density, and reproducibility. Support New Product Introduction (NPI) from design structure to manufacturable process flow. Collaborate closely with international teams on process development, troubleshooting, and technology transfer. Utilize data analytics, AI/ML tools, and statistical process control to enhance process capability and manufacturing efficiency. Perform and support advanced characterization and failure analysis Qualifications Education Master’s or PhD degree in Physics, Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related semiconductor field is preferred. Bachelor’s degree holders with strong relevant industry experience are also encouraged to apply. Experience & Technical Skills Hands-on experience in III-V epitaxial growth (MOCVD preferred) is preferred. Candidates with proven track record in developing and qualifying III-V epi processes for lasers, photodetectors, or other optoelectronic devices will be given priority. Deep understanding of epitaxial growth mechanisms, precursor chemistry, reactor dynamics, and structure design for III-V materials (e.g., GaAs, InP, GaN, or related compounds). Knowledge of semiconductor materials and device physics, especially for Laser applications. Familiarity with advanced materials characterization tools is an advantage: SIMS, XRD, AFM, SEM, Photoluminescence, Hall measurement, etc. Experience using data analytics, statistical process control (SPC), and AI/ML tools for epitaxial process optimization and control is highly desirable Fresh graduates with a Master’s or PhD degree are encouraged to apply. We provide comprehensive training from the fundamentals to help you succeed in the role. Candidates should possess a solid understanding of semiconductor materials and device physics. Broadcom is proud to be an equal opportunity employer. We will consider qualified applicants without regard to race, color, creed, religion, sex, sexual orientation, national origin, citizenship, disability status, medical condition, pregnancy, protected veteran status or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local law. We will also consider qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records consistent with local law. That number is real. WorkMundi's database shows 144,883 open engineer roles across the world. India has the most with 31,687 jobs, followed by the United States with 30,084. If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.

Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.

Next, learn who's hiring. Accenture has posted 2,801 engineer roles. andurilindustries, speechify, and jobgether are also actively recruiting. If you're applying to one of these names, research their hiring patterns and interview style before you apply. That homework pays off.

When you interview, expect the question every engineer hears: 'Tell me about a time you had to debug a problem that wasn't in your job description.' Have a specific story ready—not a general one. Name the tools, the deadline pressure, and what you learned. Hiring managers listen for whether you see problem-solving as part of the role itself, not a favour.
