Function: Information Technology Job Summary: Sr. Software Application Developer maintains an in-depth understanding of the Salesforce platform and programming languages. The incumbent will align with the coding standards and follows best practices during design and development; troubleshoot issues and solve problems independently; and follow the appropriate IT processes. This role will focus on the design & development of Salesforce solutions that drives business value and fulfill customer needs; assist junior developers; conduct periodic code reviews. Job Description: Responsibilities: Actively participate in workshops with IT business analysts and other stakeholders during the requirements and software design phases Analyze and evaluate requirements for completeness and feasibility; estimate scope of work for the project life cycle and translate it to technical design Involved in architecting Salesforce solutions with the Manager or Lead Developer Stay current on the emerging industry trends, latest processes, and IT advancements to automate and modernize applications/systems Develop code based on requirements and/or user stories, of diverse scope and complexities Perform demos of Salesforce product features incrementally to the stakeholders to ensure alignment Involved in code testing & deployments to ensure successful implementation of the required product features Work with cross-functional teams at all levels, communicate with stakeholders and drive to project delivery Understands and complies with established departmental processes and procedures designed to support internal controls efforts. Identifies and brings to the attention of department management internal controls deficiencies Attributes: Education: Bachelor's degree (Information Technology/Computer Science) or its equivalent in a related field is typically preferred. Years of experience: 6-9 years of related professional work experience may be preferred to complete all essential job functions. Other unique job-relevant attributes: Working knowledge of latest Salesforce platforms/languages, cloud technologies Deep understanding of SDLC, software methodologies and processes Ability to prioritize work and effectively execute the development tasks Proven positive results on medium to large-sized projects Excellent communication (verbal/ written) and interpersonal skills Highly self-motivated with outstanding customer relationship skills. Excellent judgment and be able to work independently and collaboratively with others Good organization skills and accountability Thorough understanding of the software coding standards and best practices Scope/Contribution: Breadth of Scope: Has specialized depth and/or breadth in own discipline or function. Frequently represents the function as a subject matter expert. The scope is typical across multiple functional areas or work teams but may be part of a single large functional area or enterprise wide. Typically performs significant coordination and interaction with many other functions. The impact is generally limited to the functional area(s) supported but may vary. Communications and Interpersonal Skills: Regularly communicates both in writing and verbally. Communicates with a broad range of internal and external contacts. Information exchanged requires advanced knowledge in a particular area. Significant influence and persuasion are likely with internal colleagues and leaders. May develop/mentor less experienced staff within their functional area(s). Complexity: Regularly handles complex work and unique activities within the functional area and by interacting with other functional areas. Problems usually are abstract and require multi-disciplinary solutions that involve new ideas, technologies, and/or concepts. Regularly uses a significant level of logic, and reasoning by examining multiple perspectives and critical thinking to assess situations. Decision Making Authority: Likely to interpret situations and apply judgment. logic and learnings from prior similar situations to make decisions. Typically makes decisions versus recommendations. May offer guidance to more junior staff. Able to solve advanced problems that are not normally encountered. Financial Accountability: Decisions made are likely to impact profit or loss and are reflective of the independent judgment, logic, and rationale for making such decisions. Given the breadth/depth, the impact may be greater than one's own function. Strategic Influence: This may impact the execution or achievement of short-term strategic initiatives but is not involved in the planning process. The estimated base pay for the position is typically between $99,500 - 139,900 The actual base pay for the position may be influenced by factors such as education, training, skills, qualifications, competencies, years of experience, job-related knowledge, and scope of the role, and could be outside of the posted pay range. In addition to base pay, an incentive program is available to all full-time employees, and a comprehensive benefits package including two medical plan options, a health savings plan with a company contribution and a match, dental and vision benefits, a well-being incentive program, 401(k) Plan which provides a potential of receiving between 10% and 13% of employer’s contribution, life and disability insurance, paid time off programs and much more!
