Job Description Continuously improve build and deployment processes by automating related activities, tools, and workflows. Implement and manage continuous delivery methodologies. Oversee testing across the entire release lifecycle. Facilitate cross-functional collaboration and engagement. Design, implement, and maintain process automation tools. Manage and optimize continuous integration tools and pipelines. Ensure seamless integration across solution design, development processes, testing procedures, and release management. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Design, build, deploy, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support continuous integration and continuous delivery using tools such as Jenkins, Maven, Git, AWS CodeBuild, and CodePipeline . Automate build, test, deployment, and monitoring processes to ensure reliable and scalable application delivery. Develop and maintain automation scripts using Perl and Python to support deployment, monitoring, and operational tasks. Collaborate closely with development, QA, and operations teams to ensure applications meet performance, reliability, and security expectations. Support production environments by analyzing monitoring data, identifying root causes, and providing initial troubleshooting and remediation. Ensure application stability through automated testing, monitoring, and alerting . Evaluate, recommend, and implement tools and technologies that best fit business and project requirements. Continuously improve DevOps practices by researching and adopting modern automation, monitoring, and deployment tools . (For DevOps Lead) Provide technical guidance, best practices, and mentorship to junior DevOps engineers. WORK EXPERIENCE / TECHNICAL BACKGROUND Fresh graduates holding a degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related technical field, with hands-on programming exposure, are encouraged to apply. Candidates with relevant experience, particularly in the telecommunications domain, will be given preference. Programming & Scripting Proficiency or strong foundation in Perl, Python, and Java Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments and shell scripting (Bash) CI/CD & Automation Experience or academic exposure to CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Maven, Git Understanding of automated testing and deployment workflows Systems & Infrastructure Experience or knowledge of application deployment, monitoring, and support Exposure to containers and virtualization (Docker, Kubernetes, VMs) is a plus Cloud Platforms Hands-on or academic experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure Configuration & Infrastructure Management (Nice to have) Familiarity with tools like Ansible, Puppet, or SaltStack LEVEL OF KNOWLEDGE Intermediate to Advanced Linux system administration and troubleshooting Systems integration and automation concepts Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, load balancing) Cloud-native application deployment and operations CORE COMPETENCIES Strong foundation in software build, testing, deployment, and monitoring Solid understanding of version control, automation, and deployment strategies Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively Willingness and capability to learn quickly and adapt to new tools and technologies Strong collaboration skills with a customer-first mindset Clear communication skills to ensure alignment on security, scalability, and reliability requirements Ability to understand system architecture and interact with multiple application components written in different programming languages Equal Opportunity Employer Globe’s hiring process promotes equal opportunity to applicants, Any form of discrimination is not tolerated throughout the entire employee lifecycle, including the hiring process such as in posting vacancies, selecting, and interviewing applicants. That number is real. WorkMundi's database shows 144,883 open engineer roles across the world. India has the most with 31,687 jobs, followed by the United States with 30,084. If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.

Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.

Next, learn who's hiring. Accenture has posted 2,801 engineer roles. andurilindustries, speechify, and jobgether are also actively recruiting. If you're applying to one of these names, research their hiring patterns and interview style before you apply. That homework pays off.

When you interview, expect the question every engineer hears: 'Tell me about a time you had to debug a problem that wasn't in your job description.' Have a specific story ready—not a general one. Name the tools, the deadline pressure, and what you learned. Hiring managers listen for whether you see problem-solving as part of the role itself, not a favour.
