Overview: 2 years of dental assisting experience needed Job Description Summary: Provides assistance to the surgical staff and physicians during dental surgical procedures, ensuring availability and proper handling of the instruments, supplies, and equipment. Job Description: Essential Functions: Prepares dental instruments for sterilization. Assists the dentist during surgery by passing instruments and materials. Coordinates and performs the requisitioning of instruments, supplies, and equipment for dental surgical cases. Maintains a clean and organized surgical environment. Documents patient care and maintains accurate records. Orders and maintains inventory of surgical supplies and equipment. Education Requirement: Graduate from an approved dental assistant program or equivalent experience, required. Licensure Requirement: Radiographer license, required. Certifications: Dental Assistant Certification, preferred. Skills: Demonstrates manual dexterity. Demonstrates versatility and adaptability. Demonstrates a theoretical and clinical ability to conform to standards of asepsis and infection control. Possess ability to hear and respond appropriately to surgeon and co-worker requests. Demonstrated and documented competency in the scrub role Experience: One year of Dental Assistant experience, required. Operating or delivery room experience, preferred.
