This Senior Business Analyst role sits within the Product Engagement part of our Digital, Distribution and Enterprise Engineering (D2E2) organization. They maintain good relationships with internal partners and collaborate with their peers across the Distribution business domain. They develop a strong understanding of the investments and distribution data and business processes, including both how it is produced and consumed across all Distribution channels and how to apply Invesco’s Data strategy and practices to drive Distribution’s data capabilities forward. The focus of this position is to work closely with the business units to gain in-depth understanding of customer's business strategy, processes, services, roadmap and the context in which the business operates. This role will be key to understanding and documenting capabilities needed to address business challenges. Under the general supervision, gather business and data requirements, convert the business and data requirements into technical requirements for solution development. The senior business analyst supports the product owner(s) in managing the scope of the assigned project(s), resolves any impediments from requirements perspective for development team, supports the system testing and user acceptance testing. The business analyst also performs validation of deliverables against requirements ensuring that solution is meeting the objectives. You will be responsible for: · The Senior Business Analyst is responsible for reviewing assigned business processes from end-to-end to identify and address operational, financial and technological risks. · Analyzing and understanding the end-to-end Distribution processes and the data associated with multiple business processes having cross domain. · Identify opportunities to improve efficiency. · Responsibilities will include a full range of activities from leading small to mid-size projects to assisting product owners on larger more complex projects. · Under the guidance of the product owners, the senior business analyst should be able to work with business stakeholders to document the functional and non-functional requirements. · Conducts interviews to gather customer requirements via workshops, questionnaires, surveys, site visits, workflow storyboards, use cases, scenarios, and other methods. · Translates conceptual customer requirements into functional requirements in a clear manner that is understandable to developers/project team. · Demonstrate strong Problem-solving skills. · Attending regular team and other required meetings daily/weekly. · Ensuring clear and accurate communication and responding to data, business, and technology partners and peers in a timely manner. · Provides updates to senior management, project stakeholders on the progress of the project and or assigned tasks. · Reports weekly status to senior management and project team as applicable · Conduct UAT testing when rolling out new regulatory filings or added data sources · Identify, research, document and / or remediate exceptions · Analyzes and verifies requirements for completeness, consistency, comprehensibility, feasibility, and conformity to standards. This individual: Understand the full Distribution business processes and data flows to provide meaningful insights and improvements, including both the Retail and Institutional Asset Management business. Work closely with business teams to gather and document their data needs, identify key data sources, and collaborate with stakeholders and technology teams to resolve data-related issues. Lead interviews, and discussions to capture the right requirements and ensure alignment. Drive process improvements to boost efficiency and reduce operational risks Use your strong industry knowledge to provide context and insight that enhances decision-making. Validate how data is consumed across reports, websites, dashboards, and applications, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and reliability across all systems. Query Snowflake and other databases efficiently to extract and analyze data. Run APIs as part of data integration and validation processes. Analyze data quality issues, identify exceptions, and recommend remediation strategies. Apply strong analytical skills to interpret data and support business objectives. Translate business requirements into detailed technical instructions that engineering teams can use to build and troubleshoot solutions during development and production. Support Product Owners by helping prioritize and refine the backlog, managing scope, and participating actively in Agile ceremonies. Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to confirm that solutions meet business expectations. Keep stakeholders informed with clear project updates and risk communications. Work with both senior and junior colleagues across business and technology teams, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing. The experience you bring: · A bachelor’s degree in finance, Business Administration, Information Technology. · Minimum 5-6 years of business and data analysis experience · Minimum 4-7 year of experience in the Investment Management industry/Asset Management/Financial Services industry. · Strong scripting skills in programming languages like SQL and Python, as you will be responsible for writing queries and other data transformation scripts. · Solid knowledge of Data Life cycle, data governance, data risk, Master data management concepts, data modeling, Business intelligence and analytics concepts. · Ability to work in a team/group setting. · Ability to interpret complex or vague instructions and successfully produce results. · Proactively identifies, analyzes, and resolves procedural fail points. · Demonstrates superior judgement, reasoning, and follow-up skills. · Demonstrates a high level of initiative, assertiveness, and self-confidence. · Proactively identifies and analyzes procedural improvements.
