Standardized Job Title: Senior Engineer, Strategic Data Solutions Role: Senior Data Solutions Engineer Location: Bangalore Job Description As a Senior Engineer: Strategic Data Solutions you will be working with end customers of Circles. You’ll be owning the Data warehousing, Business reporting and analysis for our internal operations world-wide and reporting interfaces with external partners. The job will require working closely with various Business Units across geographies to understand their analytics needs and develop comprehensive action plans & processes needed to finally deliver them. You will also be working very closely with our internal data team. As a key member of our team, your responsibilities include: Work with end customers providing Data solutions in multi-disciplinary areas including Data warehousing, Reporting and Digital analytics. Have a passion for driving actionable insights for the central BI team and the country teams to identify opportunities for cross-sell and up-sell. Maintain strong accountability for project scope, cost, resource planning, monitoring and reporting. Working on the business reporting and data analysis for our internal operations world-wide and reporting/data-exchange interfaces with external partners Working closely with any one of business units (Finance , revenue Reconciliation, Product Engineering, Product Management, Operations etc.) across geographies to understand their analytics needs Working very closely with our data team and engineering team to understand the business logic to generate accurate reports and correct analysis Delivering top quality reports and analysis as per commitment Requirements At least 6+ Years’ of Experience working in a similar role Hands on with advanced SQL Knowledge of data visualization tools like Looker or Tableau or Metabase. Strong Python skills . Knowledge of Striim TQL highly preferred. Exposure to AI and ML is a plus Hands-on experience with agile development management tools like Jira. If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.
Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.
Next, learn who's hiring. Accenture has posted 2,801 engineer roles. andurilindustries, speechify, and jobgether are also actively recruiting. If you're applying to one of these names, research their hiring patterns and interview style before you apply. That homework pays off.
When you interview, expect the question every engineer hears: 'Tell me about a time you had to debug a problem that wasn't in your job description.' Have a specific story ready—not a general one. Name the tools, the deadline pressure, and what you learned. Hiring managers listen for whether you see problem-solving as part of the role itself, not a favour.
