Position Overview : Woodward is seeking a highly driven and technically adept Sales Manager to lead and drive business growth for our Gas Turbine Control Systems and Integrated Power Control Systems (IPCS, including Easygen, DTSC, and power management solutions) in Korea. This role is responsible for identifying new business opportunities in power generation, data centers, and industrial power markets, delivering consultative value-based sales, and serving as a key bridge between Korean customers and Woodward’s U.S. Headquarters and global teams. Key Responsibilities: Lead Opportunity Prospecting: Engages industry stakeholders to seek and identify sales opportunities. Proactively identify and cultivate new sales opportunities by engaging inbound leads, qualifying prospects, and maintaining sales funnel. Implements Sales Strategies: Supports the design and execution of effective sales strategies which optimize alignment between customer needs and key internal business needs for new opportunity proposals and renegotiation of existing product portfolio. Analyze Sales Performance: Evaluates sales data and market trends to identify opportunities and solve straightforward sales challenges. Manage Customer Relationships: Identifies, Builds and maintains strong relationships with customers to understand their needs and enhance satisfaction. Supports account reviews (internal and external) regarding customer relationship management, SQDRC scorecards, forecast, margin maintenance, identify and mitigate potential business risks. Ensure Compliance: Adheres to company policies, and guidelines and standard sales organization processes, ensuring the quality and consistency of the team's work. Maintains thorough records of activities, communications and opportunities. Key Skills: Communication: Ability to convey ideas clearly, listen proactively, and articulate technical concepts to diverse audiences. Strong English communication skills for effective interaction with Korean customers and U.S. headquarters are highly preferred. Sales Strategy Development: Proficient in designing and implementing effective sales strategies to achieve targets and drive revenue growth. Customer Relationship Management (CRM): Skilled in utilizing CRM software to manage and analyze customer interactions, enhancing client satisfaction and retention. Data Analysis: Capable of interpreting sales data and metrics to inform decision making and optimize sales performance. Time Management: Proficiency in prioritizing tasks, managing schedules, and balancing multiple responsibilities to meet deadlines. Communication: Ability to convey ideas clearly, listen proactively, and articulate technical concepts to diverse audiences. Problem Solving: Competent in identifying and resolving straightforward sales challenges using technical knowledge and judgment. Business Acumen: Understanding of key business drivers and the ability to leverage this knowledge to achieve sales objectives. Sales Process Optimization: Expertise in identifying sales processes improvements to improve efficiency and effectiveness within established guidelines. Team Collaboration: Willingness to work closely with colleagues from sales, marketing, operations, and engineering to achieve common objectives. Policy Compliance: Knowledgeable in adhering to company policies and industry regulations to maintain high standards of sales operations. Preferred Qualifications: Direct experience with or deep understanding of Woodward products and control systems (e.g., Easygen controllers, DTSC transfer switches, or Gas Turbine control/governing systems) will be considered a major advantage / strong plus.
