As a Lead, PCVD Equipment, you will lead a team of equipment engineers responsible for improving manufacturing capability through equipment performance, yield improvement, throughput optimization, and quality excellence. You will set strategic direction, develop team capabilities, and collaborate with manufacturing, facilities, technology development, and global partners to achieve business objectives. Responsibilities: Lead and develop a team of equipment engineers to achieve manufacturing, quality, output, and cost objectives Define team strategy, establish performance goals, and allocate resources to support business priorities Drive equipment optimization initiatives to enhance yield, throughput, and operational efficiency Partner with global manufacturing and engineering teams to implement best-known methods and support equipment installation, modification, and relocation projects Communicate technical and business updates to leadership, team members, and large multi-functional audiences Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Physical Sciences, or a related technical field Minimum 5 years of semiconductor manufacturing experience with previous people leadership experience Demonstrated success leading teams, managing multiple complex projects, and solving challenging technical problems Strong knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes, equipment engineering practices, and operational excellence methodologies Excellent communication, organizational, data analysis, troubleshooting, and decision-making skills Preferred Qualifications: Experience leading large engineering organizations in high-volume semiconductor manufacturing environments Proven ability to build collaborative partnerships across manufacturing, engineering, facilities, and supplier organizations Strong experience coaching, mentoring, succession planning, and talent development Experience using AI-enabled tools, machine learning, automation platforms, or advanced data analytics to improve engineering decisions and productivity Experience using AI-assisted analytics to enhance data interpretation, anomaly detection, and yield improvement initiatives As a world leader in the semiconductor industry, Micron is dedicated to your personal wellbeing and professional growth. That number is real. WorkMundi's database shows 144,883 open engineer roles across the world. India has the most with 31,687 jobs, followed by the United States with 30,084. If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.
Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.
Next, learn who's hiring. Accenture has posted 2,801 engineer roles. andurilindustries, speechify, and jobgether are also actively recruiting. If you're applying to one of these names, research their hiring patterns and interview style before you apply. That homework pays off.
When you interview, expect the question every engineer hears: 'Tell me about a time you had to debug a problem that wasn't in your job description.' Have a specific story ready—not a general one. Name the tools, the deadline pressure, and what you learned. Hiring managers listen for whether you see problem-solving as part of the role itself, not a favour.
