JOB DESCRIPTION Responsibilities Understand project and contract specifications, provide technical support in commercial discussion involving variation order, scope and responsibility, cost dispute, etc, with various project stake holders. Review and comment Topside and Marine telecommunication systems deliverables issued by engineering sub-contractors, such as design philosophies, single line diagrams, room layout and deck arrangement, cable schedule, hazardous areaplan, etc. Ensure the designs are following requirements of contract,classification and local authority regulations. and monitor the progress. Monitor the progress of drawing schedule and planned telecommunication engineering design activities are in line with overall project execution plan. Perform system design verification, such as PAGA sound coverage, PAGA voltage drop calculation, Link budget, system redundancy cabling etc. Review and ensure equipment layout in compliance with requirements of contract, classification, and local authority regulations and coordinate with various disciplines for issues related to material handling, constructability and installation, operation and maintenance, and safety, etc. Review procurement engineering documents issued by engineering sub-contractors, such as technical specifications, equipment data sheets, MTO, technical bid evaluation etc., participate in bid clarification meeting with vendor and assist in vendor selection. Review and consolidate MTO and issue for purchase. Review and comment vendor documents and participate in vendor FAT as lead representative. Participates in technical meetings, progress reviews, 3D Model reviews, workshops; addresses issues related to telecom design and interface. Address comments from client, classification, local authority and 3rdparty consultants with the assistance from engineering sub-contractors. Communicate with vendors and other disciplines to ensure changes are captured timely and implemented in design and 3D Model. Follow on with all telecommunication engineering activities after taking over from engineering sub-contractors, including document updating, vendor document review, supporting construction, commissioning etc. JOB REQUIREMENTS Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Telecommunication Engineering or related engineering disciplines 5-10+ years in telecom systems, preferably in offshore, marine, or oil & gas projects Telecom systems (PABX, radio, CCTV, PAGA, data networks) Familiar with offshore/marine standards (IEC, IMO, DNV, ABS) Experience in engineering design, installation, and commissioning Strong communication and teamwork Ability to lead or mentor junior engineers Comfortable working in shipyard/offshore environments Willingness to travel or work extended hours when required Our Address and Working Hours: Seatrium (SG) Pte.
