AIA Billing Specialist – Construction Billing, SOV & Bonding Full-Time | Remote | U.S. Business Hours About the Role At Pavago, one of our clients is hiring an experienced AIA Billing Specialist to manage billing, contracts, bonding, and project documentation for a growing U.S. commercial construction operation. This is a specialized construction billing role. We’re looking for someone with direct experience handling AIA G702/G703 billing, Schedule of Values (SOV), retainage, and construction bonds . You’ll help ensure multiple active projects remain accurately billed, properly documented, and on schedule. What You’ll Own AIA Billing & SOV Prepare and submit AIA G702/G703 payment applications Create, maintain, and update Schedule of Values (SOV) Track retainage and project payment milestones Monitor billing deadlines and ensure accurate, timely submissions Identify billing discrepancies or payment issues before they impact cash flow Contracts & Construction Bonding Organize and track commercial construction contracts Coordinate bid bonds, performance bonds, and maintenance bonds Prepare and submit required bonding documentation Communicate with bonding companies, municipalities, general contractors, and project stakeholders Track contractual requirements and documentation deadlines Project Documentation & Systems Maintain project records, schedules, permits, and supporting documentation Keep project information updated in Buildertrend or similar construction management systems Maintain accurate CRM and project tracking records Ensure documentation remains organized and accessible across active projects Project & Administrative Coordination Communicate with clients, contractors, vendors, and other stakeholders Support pre-construction and project administration Participate in project meetings and provide billing/documentation updates Track outstanding requirements and proactively follow up Requirements Must Have Prior experience supporting a U.S.-based general contractor or commercial construction company Hands-on experience with AIA billing and G702/G703 payment applications Strong experience managing Schedule of Values (SOV) Experience tracking retainage Knowledge of bid bonds, performance bonds, and maintenance bonds Strong Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills Excellent written and verbal English communication Strong organization and ability to manage multiple active projects High attention to detail when handling financial and contractual documentation Ability to work independently during U.S. business hours Nice to Have Buildertrend or similar construction management software experience Commercial construction, landscaping, or trades industry background Construction accounting or bookkeeping experience Familiarity with construction financial reporting and payment tracking CRM and project management system experience What Success Looks Like AIA billing packages are accurate and submitted on time SOVs and retainage records remain current Bonding requirements are completed before deadlines Project and contract documentation stays organized and accurate Billing delays and payment issues are proactively identified Leadership has clear visibility into billing and project status Why Join Fully remote opportunity Specialized role within U.S. commercial construction High ownership over billing and project administration Direct exposure to contracts, bonding, and construction financial workflows Opportunity to become a key operational resource across multiple active projects Long-term growth within construction billing and project operations Interview Process Initial Application Review Spark Hire Intro Video Pavago Recruiter Interview Client Interview Offer & Onboarding Apply Now If you have hands-on experience with AIA G702/G703 billing, Schedule of Values, retainage, and construction bonding , we’d love to hear from you. #AIABilling #ConstructionBilling #G702 #G703 #ScheduleOfValues #ConstructionAccounting #Buildertrend #CommercialConstruction #RemoteJobs #ConstructionJobs
