We are looking for a Software Engineer to join our team in Brazil, at a Mid-level or Senior level, with strong experience building modern software systems using .NET and Next.js. You will work across backend and frontend development, contributing to system architecture, engineering practices, and the continuous improvement of software delivery. We are particularly interested in engineers who are already applying AI-assisted software engineering techniques in their day-to-day development workflows, with practical experience using Specification-Driven Development (SDD) and AI coding tools. The ideal candidate combines strong hands-on development skills with architectural thinking, autonomy, and the ability to operate effectively in fast-paced engineering environments. Requirements Key Responsibilities Develop scalable backend services and APIs using .NET. Build modern, maintainable frontend applications using Next.js. Contribute to software architecture decisions, technical design, and evolution of existing systems. Work comfortably within CI/CD pipelines, ALM processes, and corporate engineering practices. Apply AI-assisted software engineering techniques to improve development, refactoring, debugging, testing, and overall developer productivity. Collaborate with engineering teams in a fast-paced environment, maintaining strong communication and technical autonomy. Essential Requirements Minimum 7 years of professional experience in software development. Solid understanding of software and systems architecture. Experience working in Agile and fast-paced engineering environments. Ability to work autonomously while maintaining clear communication and alignment with the team. Nice to Have Practical experience applying AI to software development, particularly SDD and AI-assisted engineering techniques. Experience working with AWS and cloud-based architectures. Previous experience working in large-scale corporate environments. Location and Working Model Based in São Paulo or within a reasonable commuting distance. Comfortable working in a hybrid model. If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.
Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.
Next, learn who's hiring. Accenture has posted 2,801 engineer roles. andurilindustries, speechify, and jobgether are also actively recruiting. If you're applying to one of these names, research their hiring patterns and interview style before you apply. That homework pays off.
When you interview, expect the question every engineer hears: 'Tell me about a time you had to debug a problem that wasn't in your job description.' Have a specific story ready—not a general one. Name the tools, the deadline pressure, and what you learned. Hiring managers listen for whether you see problem-solving as part of the role itself, not a favour.
