Senior Software Engineer Position Type: Full-Time | Remote Working Hours: U.S. Business Hours About the Role We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer with strong full-stack development experience to build, improve, and maintain reliable software products. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working across the frontend and backend, developing APIs, working with databases, and supporting cloud-based applications. Responsibilities Develop and maintain scalable full-stack applications across frontend and backend. Build user-facing features using React, JavaScript, and TypeScript . Build and maintain Docker-based applications and CI/CD pipelines . Improve application performance, scalability, security, and reliability . Collaborate with product, design, QA, and engineering teams to deliver high-quality solutions. Contribute to system architecture, technical decisions, and process improvements. Mentor junior developers and support technical knowledge sharing when needed. Required Experience & Skills 5+ years of professional software engineering experience. Strong experience with React, JavaScript, and TypeScript . Strong backend development experience with Node.js, Python, Java, .NET, or similar technologies . Experience developing and integrating REST APIs and/or GraphQL . Experience working with relational and/or NoSQL databases. Experience building and supporting production software applications. Experience with at least one major cloud platform: AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud . Experience with Docker and CI/CD processes. Strong understanding of software development, debugging, testing, and code quality. Experience working with Agile/Scrum or similar development processes. Strong problem-solving and communication skills. Ability to work independently in a remote environment. Availability during U.S. business hours . If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.
Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.
