Your mission will be to improve the mechanical design, design-to-cost and design for manufacturing of the company products. You will troubleshoot and find solutions to the component manufacturing, product assembly and supplier quality issues that may arise with the industrialization of innovative hardware products. You will join a pluridisciplinary team composed of Mechanical, Production and Biochemistry engineers and co-work on a regular basis with the mechanical design team based in Paris. Job duties Understand, analyze and improve the mechanical design of our products in coordination with the Product Development Team in Paris. Design components, packaging, accessories and/or products using CAD, DFM, GD&T and product management tools. Lead technical discussions with suppliers and communicate clearly with the team. Be the interface between suppliers and the product development team in France. Anticipate, manage and solve manufacturing, assembly and quality problems happening on the production lines and component manufacturers. Help setup and ramp-up the production lines during the NPI stages of the product development cycle in cooperation with our contract manufacturers. Analyze data from the production lines, optimize mass production efficiency and cost. Design production lines jigs and tools to help with product assembly, testing and validation. Requirements You graduated with a bachelor BSc or master MSc in Mechanical Engineering, or related field. Ideally, you have experience with consumer electronics and/or packaging mechanical design, assembly and validation. Ideally, you have experience in manufacturing processes and plastic injection. Experience with CAD (Onshape, Solidworks, …) and Office Pack (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, …) You are a passionate individual with strong problem solving skills and an autonomous mindset. Fluency in English (written & spoken) is required. Fluency in Chinese Mandarin is a strong plus. Fluency in French is a plus. If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.
Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.
Next, learn who's hiring. Accenture has posted 2,801 engineer roles. andurilindustries, speechify, and jobgether are also actively recruiting. If you're applying to one of these names, research their hiring patterns and interview style before you apply. That homework pays off.
When you interview, expect the question every engineer hears: 'Tell me about a time you had to debug a problem that wasn't in your job description.' Have a specific story ready—not a general one. Name the tools, the deadline pressure, and what you learned. Hiring managers listen for whether you see problem-solving as part of the role itself, not a favour.
