Full Stack Engineer Next.js, React, Python, AI & Marketing Technology | Remote | EST Hours Position Type: Full-Time, Remote Working Hours: U.S. Business Hours – EST About the Role At Pavago, one of our clients—a fast-growing marketing agency serving 150+ home service businesses —is hiring a Full Stack Engineer to build and scale the technology powering its marketing, lead generation, tracking, and revenue operations. This is a hands-on builder role , not a strategy-only engineering position. You’ll work across: Full-stack application development Marketing data and attribution Meta Pixel & Conversion API (CAPI) AI-powered marketing workflows CRM integrations and automation Internal dashboards and operational tools You’ll work directly with leadership, media buyers, and operators to turn real business problems into production-ready systems that improve campaign performance, lead conversion, and operational efficiency . If you’re a strong full-stack engineer who understands both software engineering and performance marketing technology , this role is a strong fit. What You’ll Own Full-Stack & Internal Tool Development — Primary Focus Build, deploy, and maintain internal applications using: Next.js React Python You’ll: Develop marketing dashboards and reporting systems Build internal operational tools used by media buyers and teams Replace repetitive manual workflows with scalable software Develop reliable backend services and integrations Take systems from concept through production deployment Continuously improve tools based on real user and campaign needs Marketing Data, Tracking & Attribution — Core Focus Own and improve the technical infrastructure connecting advertising performance to actual business outcomes. You’ll: Implement and optimize Meta Pixel Work hands-on with Meta Conversion API (CAPI) Configure accurate event tracking Handle event deduplication Improve attribution accuracy Troubleshoot tracking discrepancies Build pipelines connecting: Ad Platforms → Backend Systems → CRM → Reporting Dashboards Develop reporting systems that give teams visibility into metrics such as: ROAS CPL CAC Conversion rates Lead quality Campaign performance AI Integration & Marketing Automation Build AI directly into live marketing and operational workflows. Use APIs such as OpenAI and similar AI platforms to develop systems for: Ad copy generation Creative ideation Lead scoring Lead qualification Campaign analysis Performance insights Automated reporting Operational workflow automation This role requires someone who actively uses modern AI tools—not someone with only theoretical exposure. CRM & Lead Lifecycle Automation — Critical Integrate and automate CRM platforms such as: GoHighLevel Close CRM HubSpot Similar CRM systems Build workflows connecting the entire lead lifecycle: Lead Capture → CRM → Routing → Follow-Up → Pipeline → Conversion → Attribution You’ll also: Automate lead routing and assignment Build pipeline management workflows Configure webhooks and API integrations Sync CRM conversion outcomes back to advertising platforms Support offline conversion and CAPI event tracking Maintain data consistency across systems Troubleshoot broken integrations and automation workflows APIs, Webhooks & Systems Integration Build reliable connections between marketing and operational platforms. You’ll work extensively with: REST APIs Webhooks Third-party integrations Automation platforms CRM APIs Advertising APIs AI APIs Backend data flows Ensure systems remain accurate, scalable, and reliable as campaign volume grows. Rapid Execution & Iteration This is a fast-moving environment where engineering directly impacts revenue. You’ll: Ship production-ready solutions quickly Test systems using real campaign data Iterate based on performance and user feedback Work closely with media buyers to identify bottlenecks Troubleshoot operational and technical issues Prioritize solutions that create measurable business impact Balance speed with reliability and maintainability Required Experience & Skills Non-Negotiables 4–6+ years of hands-on software engineering experience Strong full-stack development experience with: React Next.js Python Proven experience building and deploying production-level applications or internal tools Strong experience with: APIs Webhooks Third-party integrations Automation systems Active use of AI tools in day-to-day engineering work Marketing / Ad Tech Experience Hands-on experience in a marketing, advertising, performance marketing, or ad tech environment is required . You should have experience with: Meta Pixel and/or Conversion API (CAPI) Event tracking Event deduplication Attribution Marketing analytics Campaign reporting Advertising data pipelines Experience building dashboards or reporting systems for paid marketing campaigns—particularly Meta Ads —is strongly preferred. CRM & Automation Experience Hands-on experience integrating or automating platforms such as: GoHighLevel Close CRM HubSpot Similar CRM systems You should understand: Lead capture Lead routing Pipeline management Follow-up automation Conversion tracking Offline events CRM-to-ad-platform attribution Nice to Have Experience working inside a performance marketing agency Experience supporting high-volume lead generation campaigns Familiarity with paid media metrics such as: ROAS CPL CAC Conversion rate Experience with: Zapier Make Similar automation platforms Understanding of marketing data pipelines Familiarity with attribution challenges caused by: iOS privacy changes Browser restrictions Cookie limitations Experience supporting home services or local lead-generation businesses What Makes You a Strong Fit You: Are a builder first Prefer shipping working systems over creating theoretical architecture Understand how engineering connects to marketing performance and revenue Can move comfortably between frontend, backend, APIs, CRM systems, and marketing technology Troubleshoot problems independently Understand attribution beyond simply installing a tracking pixel Use AI practically in your development workflow Work well with non-technical stakeholders such as media buyers and operators Move quickly without sacrificing system reliability Take ownership from problem identification through deployment What a Typical Day Looks Like Your day may include: Building a new internal tool in Next.js and React Developing Python backend functionality Troubleshooting Meta CAPI or Pixel tracking Investigating attribution discrepancies Connecting CRM conversion data to advertising platforms Building or improving a marketing performance dashboard Creating an AI-powered lead qualification workflow Developing API or webhook integrations Automating repetitive operational processes Meeting with media buyers to understand campaign bottlenecks Shipping improvements and monitoring their real-world impact In short: you build the technology layer connecting advertising, leads, CRM data, AI, attribution, and revenue operations. Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully.
