We are looking for an ​Engagement Activities Specialist​ to complete our consultants Workforce Management Service to support the ​ESA Academy Engagement Programme​ of the European Space Agency (ESA) at their location in ​Libin, Belgium​. The ESA Academy Engagement Programme offers structured collaboration models both within ESA and externally with academia, industry and institutions to contribute together to the preparation of the future talents in terms of knowledge, skills and competences through joint opportunities including events, trainings, projects and educational activities. Through specific funding opportunities, ESA facilitates access to space-related academic programmes, short courses, conferences, educational activities and internships in SMEs to tertiary education students from eligible states. The role covers support to the design, development, implementation and operation of a portfolio of opportunities and related processes providing the ESA Academy target audience, primarily tertiary education students, access to ESA expertise, technical and financial support and educational resources. Travel for on-location outreach or educational activities and meetings is required. Please note, the successful candidate will be employed by ATG Europe (or one of its subsidiaries). Furthermore, upon selection, they will be subject to a general security screening performed by an external provider (further information will be provided at the interview stage). The successful candidate will be tasked with, but not limited to: Coordinate the recurrent editions of the Engagement Programme elements, maintaining liaison with event organisers and sponsored students, to ensure continuity and continuous improvement of these activities; Define and implement new Engagement Programme elements by contributing to the development of the related processes, documentation, online resources; Implement the Book a Space Programme including the implementation of a new online automated process to match support requests with potential subject matter experts; Liaise with other ESA Directorates and with partner organisations (academia, industry, institutes, associations) for the preparation, development and delivery of joint educational and inspirational events such as hackathons, challenges, training courses, career fairs or national/local space-related events; Collaborate with ESA Directorates and with partner organisations (academia, industry, institutes, associations) to jointly support student projects and study cases in space-related fields; Coordinate with ESA colleagues, including Human Resources for participation in events to manage booths and deliver talks or training; Design, develop and deliver activities and resources to raise space-career awareness and disseminate career information within Europe; Coordinate the calls for applications, the promotion, the selection processes, the organization and assessment via satisfactory surveys of all above elements; Coordinate the process of transferring funds to participants and ESA external Subject Matter Experts by overseeing sponsorship and scholarship allocations and liaising with the third party responsible for processing the financial transfers; Collect user feedback, provide feedback statistics, and propose measures to address feedback when needed; Contribute to the transition from legacy tools to the use of the Learning Management System and manage Engagement activities by making use of the tool; Monitor and update as required Engagement Personal Data Process and ESA Education Privacy Notice; Contribute to the future university alliance by identifying universities, designing the partnership scheme, preparing and delivering joint activities; Facilitate collaboration with selected student associations in eligible states, monitor the related activities and assess impact; Set-up online tools to build-up and contribute to the management of an ESA Academy alumni community, and a network of active contributors to the European space education sector; Contribute to the final design and implementation of the SME Internship Support Programme in particular the funding level and associate mechanism; Offer support to organisers for the preparation and delivery of theme-based events (e.g. hackathons, challenges); Coordinate the contribution by ESA experts to the curriculum development in space-related academic programmes at selected European universities; Provide inputs to the organisation of the biennial Symposiums on Space Educational Activities (SSEA), from the host selection up to the event delivery and lessons learned implementation; Provide inputs to the organisation of the future Academia-and-Industry Forum, from the identification of participants up to the event delivery and lessons learned implementation; Liaise with ESA Directorates, academia, industry, and institutions to monitor the evolving needs in terms of knowledge, skills and competences within the upstream and downstream space sector; Follow the progress and activities of European space education initiatives (related to both upstream and downstream space developments and applications) in order to identify potential collaborations, for instance by following ESA agency news and liaising with space experts indicated by ESA; Manage the dedicated shared email inbox; Manage application processes and statistics management using the Learning Management System; Maintain a GDPR / ESA Data Policy compliant database and statistics of activities and participating teams and ensure that ESA has constant access to, and ownership of, this database; Prepare education-stakeholder visits of ESA-ESEC and coordinate the tour of the ESA Education Training Centre; Prepare outreach material on the Engagement activities, maintain webpages, prepare web articles, social media posts and email campaigns; Contribute to ESA Academy newsletter and ESA Education outreach activities; Ensure approvals of all material according to agreed processes.
