About the Role At Quantum Systems, we develop highly autonomous, high-performance interceptor systems for military and governmental applications. Our C-UAS platforms operate under the most demanding dynamic, environmental, and mission-critical conditions and must meet the highest standards of reliability, robustness, and operational readiness. As a Senior Systems Verification & Validation Engineer , you will take ownership of the system-level verification, validation, and qualification strategy for our interceptor systems—from concept development through operational deployment. You will ensure that requirements are translated into robust system solutions and that overall system performance is demonstrated through structured testing, qualification, and acceptance activities. Working closely with Systems Engineering, Autonomy, Avionics, Simulation, and Flight Test teams, you will ensure that our systems are not only developed successfully but also proven to perform under real-world operational conditions. What is your Day to Day Mission: Own the system-wide verification, validation, qualification, and acceptance strategy for our autonomous Counter-UAS interceptor systems. Derive and structure customer, mission, and safety requirements into verifiable system requirements. Define verification and validation approaches as well as qualification and compliance strategies. Plan and coordinate verification and validation activities across software, hardware, simulation, and system levels. Execute model-based verification approaches as well as Software-in-the-Loop (SITL) and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HITL) test campaigns. Validate flight control, navigation, guidance, and autonomy functions under nominal and edge-case conditions. Define and conduct robustness, stress-testing, and fault-injection campaigns. Evaluate system behavior in the event of sensor failures, communication losses, interference, and challenging environmental conditions. Support and analyze ground, environmental, and flight test activities and assess results against defined acceptance criteria. Identify and manage qualification, certification, and system-related risks. Collaborate with internal development teams as well as military and governmental customers, auditors, and other stakeholders. Create, review, and maintain requirements, compliance evidence, qualification reports, and test documentation. Define release criteria for prototype, pre-production, and production systems.

That number is real. WorkMundi's database shows 144,883 open engineer roles across the world. India has the most with 31,687 jobs, followed by the United States with 30,084. If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.

Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.

Next, learn who's hiring. Accenture has posted 2,801 engineer roles. andurilindustries, speechify, and jobgether are also actively recruiting. If you're applying to one of these names, research their hiring patterns and interview style before you apply. That homework pays off.

When you interview, expect the question every engineer hears: 'Tell me about a time you had to debug a problem that wasn't in your job description.' Have a specific story ready—not a general one. Name the tools, the deadline pressure, and what you learned. Hiring managers listen for whether you see problem-solving as part of the role itself, not a favour.
