As a Radio & Data Link Systems Engineer, you own the integration, configuration, and performance of radio and data link systems for interceptor UAVs operating in dynamic and congested RF environments. Your work ensures robust command & control, telemetry, data streaming, and cooperative multi-UAV operations across complex network topologies. You will operate close to the hardware, fly what you build, and continuously improve system performance from lab bench to flight test. Your roadmap to make an impact Integrate and optimize radio and data link systems (WLAN, LTE/5G, proprietary MIMO, UHF/VHF) Configure, flash, and operate radios, flight controllers, and ground stations. Design and validate mesh and multi-node network topologies with multiple UAVs, ground control stations and operators Analyze and improve link performance metrics (latency, throughput, reliability, recovery). Perform link budget analysis and support antenna & RF integration. Support ground and flight testing, including on-site troubleshooting. Manage system configurations, interfaces, and changes Ensure regulatory and licensing compliance (ETSI/FCC, spectrum usage). Contribute to system architecture and cross-functional design reviews.

Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully.
