About us Trucking moves the American economy. It is a $1 trillion market, and it still runs on fragmented operations, thin margins, and technology a generation behind. Billor, short for "Bill of Rights," is the only company transforming this market end to end, combining Freight and Technology for Truck Drivers, Freight Brokers, and Small Carriers into a single ecosystem. We operate a fleet of several hundred heavy-duty trucks and run integrated business lines across freight, fintech, and technology platforms. About the role The Insurance Analyst supports Billor's Legal & Compliance – Insurance Operations team in the day-to-day running of the company's commercial trucking insurance program. Working closely with other team members, this entry-level role owns the operational side of the insurance claims cycle — opening and following up on claims, issuing Certificates of Insurance (COIs), and keeping insurance documentation organized and up to date. It is a hands-on position and it is key to keeping Billor's insurance operation running at the right level of service and cost. Responsibilities Open, register, and follow up on insurance claims (auto liability, physical damage, cargo, and general liability) with carriers and adjusters through resolution. Issue and manage Certificates of Insurance (COIs) and respond to COI requests accurately and on time. Manage the insurance claims intake and queue (e.g. Zendesk form), keeping every case organized, updated, and properly documented. Keep contact with claim adjusters. Escalate red flags and out-of-standard situations to the team lead. As experience grows, contribute to insurance indicators/reports and help build training materials for the area, as well as prepare and maintain area documentation — procedures, controls, and case files — in clear, standardized formats.
