Resident Project Representative II - Aviation Department: Transportation Employment Type: Full Time Location: Miami, FL Compensation: $75,000 - $115,000 / year Description Talbert, Bright & Ellington, LLC. (TBE) is a full-service, professional aviation engineering firm focused on the planning, design, and construction for airports in North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia and Florida. Headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina for over 30 years. Currently, TBE is seeking a full-time Resident Project Representative (RPR) II to support airfield and landside projects in South Florida. Key Responsibilities Provide on-site representation for TBE during the construction phase of assigned projects. Monitor and document daily construction activities to ensure compliance with contract documents, specifications, and regulatory standards. Prepare daily reports, field notes, photo documentation, and quantity tracking for contractor work. Coordinate and participate in construction meetings with airport staff, contractors, and project designers. Review contractor pay applications, submittals, and Requests for Information (RFIs). Verify quality control measures, safety compliance, and adherence to project timelines. Assist with materials testing coordination and tracking. Communicate field observations and issues clearly to the design team and airport staff. Support project closeout efforts including punch lists, final inspections, and record drawings. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain approval to drive in active Air Operations Area (AOA). 5+ years of field experience involving airfield construction contracts OR Associate degree in engineering or construction-related field and 3+ years of relevant experience OR Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field and 2 year of civil engineering, construction, or inspection experience. Proficiency in interpreting engineering plans, specifications, and construction documents for heavy civil infrastructure projects Knowledge of Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) advisory circulars related airfield construction. Must be capable of effective oral and written communication; work in a team-oriented manner, and possess analytical and organizational skills. Bi-Lingual (English/Spanish) preferred. Must have ability to pass background check in order to obtain Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) badge. High levels of integrity, always doing the right thing in an ethical, fair, and sustainable way.
