Construction Administrator Department: Construction/CEI Employment Type: Full Time Location: Sanford, FL Description CPH is a multi-disciplinary Engineering and Architecture firm that ranks in the nation’s Top 500 Design Firms by ENR Magazine. We are seeking a Construction Administrator to join and help lead our dynamic and collaborative team in Sanford or Orlando, FL! The Construction Administrator plays an important role in overseeing the construction phase, ensuring they are executed in accordance with design specifications, budgets, and timelines. This role focuses on supporting the Construction Manager in maintaining the construction schedule, responding to issues promptly, and ensuring project success. Duties Include Duties/Responsibilities: Oversee the construction administration process for various CPH projects from pre-construction through project completion, ensuring that all activities are aligned with project objectives. Serve as the primary point of contact between the architectural/ engineering team, contractors, clients, and other stakeholders, facilitating smooth communication and coordination throughout the project lifecycle. Conduct regular site visits to monitor construction progress, address any arising issues, and ensure work complies with construction documents, building codes, and industry standards. Review and respond to Requests for Information (RFIs), submittals, shop drawings, and change orders accurately and in a timely manner. Identify construction-related challenges and work to resolve them quickly and cost-effectively while maintaining the project’s quality and schedule. Track project schedules and budgets, providing updates and recommendations to the project team to ensure timely and on-budget delivery. Ensure that all construction activities follow quality control measures and safety protocols, ensuring a safe working environment on all construction sites. Maintain thorough documentation of all construction administration activities, including site observation reports, meeting minutes, and field reports, to ensure transparency and accountability. Collaborate with the design team to review and interpret construction documents, providing insights to enhance constructability and ensure project feasibility. Facilitate the project closeout process, including managing punch lists, overseeing final inspections, and coordinating the submission of as-built drawings. Requirements Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred. Minimum of 5 years of experience in architecture construction administration and/or general contracting construction administration, with a focus on commercial projects. Strong understanding of construction processes, building codes, and industry standards. Proven experience managing multiple projects simultaneously, with a track record of delivering on time and within budget. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick, informed decisions. Required Skills/Abilities: Proven experience in construction management. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with clients, contractors, and team members. Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, specifications, and contracts. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for regular site visits. Ability to manage multiple projects, oversee budgets, and ensure compliance with safety regulations. Knowledge of construction processes, building codes, and safety protocols Proficiency using inspection tools and equipment. Familiar with the architecture and engineering industry.
