Operations Specialist Department: Interfaith Public Health Network Employment Type: Permanent - Part Time Location: Remote Compensation: $35.00 / hour Description About the Organization: The Interfaith Public Health Network (IPHN) mobilizes faith leaders and communities to engage in public health policy, with a particular focus on food systems, nutrition, and industry accountability. Through convening, coalition-building, and advocacy, the organization works to influence the underlying drivers of health at local, state, and national levels. Position Summary: The Operations Specialist assists IPHN Conveners (functional executive directors) with operational management tasks to support the functioning, development, and organizational capacity of IPHN. This is a part-time position at 15 hours/week. Primary Responsibilities Workflow Development and Management Develop and maintain organizational workflows and procedures using tools such as Asana and Google Drive. Assist in developing internal performance monitoring, reporting, and project data analysis. Develop training materials and curricula related to work management processes. Manage and maintain the IPHN People Relationship Management database (NationBuilder), including processes for adding, updating, syncing, and culling records, and providing related training. Assist with planning and coordination of virtual and in-person meetings, including logistics such as multimedia and catering, as requested. Conduct miscellaneous research projects. Fiscal Management Support Act as a liaison between IPHN and the Fiscal Sponsor’s fiscal management team, as requested. Review administrative costs, including categorizing, tracking, and documenting recurring subscriptions and services, and providing ad hoc reports. The Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and comfortable managing workflows, data, and day-to-day operations. They’re tech-savvy, detail-oriented, and able to pick up tools like Asana, Google Drive, and NationBuilder quickly. They communicate clearly, enjoy creating simple systems and training materials, and can juggle projects, research, meeting logistics, and administrative and fiscal tasks. Most importantly, they’re collaborative, resourceful, and good at keeping things moving. Specific Experience Requested: We recognize that each applicant for this role will bring unique skills, knowledge, experiences, and background to this position, lending their flair to the trajectory of the Operations Specialist role. We welcome diverse experiences and perspectives in our applicant pool, and will be looking for candidates who possess many, but not necessarily all, of the following qualifications and experience: At least 2 years of experience in operations, administration, project coordination, or a related field Experience developing and maintaining organizational workflows, processes, and systems Experience with project management and collaboration tools such as Asana and Google Drive Experience managing databases or CRM systems; NationBuilder experience is a plus Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities independently Strong written and verbal communication skills Experience creating training materials and supporting staff with new tools or processes Comfort with basic data analysis, reporting, and research Experience coordinating virtual and in-person meetings and logistics Familiarity with administrative expense tracking, budgeting, or fiscal processes Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners Resourceful, adaptable, and comfortable taking initiative Experience with IPHN. Workplace, Compensation & Application Workplace & Travel: All employees work from home offices with occasional travel (1-2 times per year) for all-team in-person meetings.
