What you can look forward to as a Manufacturing Engineer: Lead complex projects to troubleshoot and solve errors/problems on production equipment. Analyze and plan work force utilization, space requirements, workflow, and designs layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency. Confer with manufacturing engineers and design staff concerning product design and tooling to ensure efficient production methods. Validate the development of product specifications for the purchase of equipment, materials, tooling, fixturing or parts, according to specifications and quality standards. Consult the engineering team about potential suppliers for production equipment, tooling and fixturing and contributes to the final technical choice. Evaluate and assist in the evolution of the equipment and perform acceptance evaluation according to specification. Validate production times, staffing requirements and related costs of production equipment to provide information for management decisions. Oversee projects for existing production and new programs using APQP and Lean principles to meet timing and budget as well as performance. Your profile as a Manufacturing Engineer: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and 3+ years of previous experience as a Manufacturing Engineer in a high-volume environment. Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within Engineering. Experience with customer communication systems. Experience with engineering change systems. Knowledge of company products and services acquired through experience and training. Understanding of engineering techniques, principles, and procedures of their particular field to the completion of difficult assignments.
