Yara Africa & Asia (YAA) produces, sells, distributes and markets fertilizers and industrial products across Asia Pacific and Africa regions, with offices location and operational units in 20 countries. The region employs over 1800 employees and has a long history in the Asian Pacific and African markets, focusing on develop crop nutrition concepts that increase food production and create value to the growers, in particular smallholder farmers, whilst minimizing environmental impact of agricultural activities. YAA is currently undergoing a major transformation, aimed at shifting the existing business models, generating new revenue streams and ultimately delivering profit through new Farming Solutions related activities. Responsibilities Main responsibilities Achieves company’s revenue and profit growth target with strategic territory planning across targeted farmers and end user by providing technical support and advice to farmers on how to optimize crop production. Develop successful sales for the complete Yara portfolio in the assigned area/customers. Also develop strategy to increase new customer, retain loyal customer and minimize lapse customers. Develop the assigned market by promoting Crop Solution Program through demand creation activities, such as farmer visit/meeting, field day, spot demonstration, crop clinic and any activated related to farmer and end user. Responsible in the successful implementation of marketing program, including brand campaigns, product launches, conferences, market surveys, database collection. Work closely with key farmers to meet the targeted Business Plan and Crop Roadmap with % pass through sales target in FarmCare. Developing and maintaining relationships with farmers, agricultural organizations, and other stakeholders and identifying opportunities to upsell or cross-sell additional products Making presentations to farmers and other stakeholders on products and services offered Promoting the company's application to potential customers and demonstrating its features and benefits Providing agronomic support to customers by assessing their needs and recommending solutions Provide regular reports on the market, including competitors, crop prices and customers for business intelligence purposes. Identify and develop farmer and end user’s profile for better understanding of the buying behaviour with the objective of transforming the opportunities into a successful business. Lead selective and special projects (1-2 projects) in order to deliver Yara ambition of Growing a nature-positive food future such as Customer Prospertity development, Yara Climate Nueatrulity project with key farmer, Food Chain company, Develop sales agronomist’s initiative to improve sales capability, productivity and work efficiency in his/her territory by collaborating with related teams. Work closely with agronomists to provide “Farmer Centric’’ solutions to the focus crop. Continuous Learning and keeping abreast of product knowledge, sales techniques, and industry developments through training programs and self-study to enhance performance and effectiveness. Performs collaboration and improvement. Proven team player, excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, result- driven and proactive with great. communication skills,embracing Yara values and a safe and inclusive work culture. HESQ and Ethics & Compliance Always act in accordance with Ethics & Compliance policy as defined by Yara globally. Guide customers in adhering to Yara HESQ, Ethics and Compliance policies. Work in accordance with HESQ policy and relevant legislation, Yara Safety Principles and Golden Rules. Profile Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in agronomy, agriculture, business, marketing, or a related field Minimum 3 years of experience in business, sales consultant in the agriculture or agronomy industry, or a related field. Experiences in B2B distribution network such as distributor and retailer channel. Experiences with customer (Farmer, end user) relationship management. Long relevant experience can compensate for lack of formal education. Knowledge and Skills Knowledge of agriculture industry and market conditions. Strong knowledge of crop production and agronomy principles. Familiarity with agricultural products and services, including fertilizers, pesticides, seeds, and other inputs. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to make effective presentations and build relationships with customer (Farmer, end user). Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. Ability to work independently and manage one's own time effectively. Proficiency in computer programs and technologies, such as Microsoft Office.
