Our common goal You will grow Vitra's residential business by developing relationships with architects, interior designers, trade partners and private clients across the North American market. Through your ability to identify opportunities, influence specifications and convert projects into sales, you will help strengthen Vitra's presence within the premium residential design community. This role is based in New York and combines business development with client engagement in the showroom environment. Annual target compensation $90,000 to $125,000. Your impact in the role Develop and execute a business development strategy for residential architects, interior designers and other trade partners Generate new business opportunities through targeted outreach, networking, referrals, studio visits and industry events Build, manage and convert a strong pipeline of projects and accounts using Salesforce Establish trusted relationships with design professionals and advise on products, materials, finishes, configurations and applications Prepare proposals, quotations and tailored solutions that meet both creative and commercial requirements Manage and convert inquiries from showroom visitors, digital channels, referrals and other sources Collaborate with marketing, sales support, logistics and finance teams to ensure a seamless customer experience Use the showroom as a platform for client consultations, presentations, events and relationship building while maintaining a welcoming environment How you can convince Several years of experience in business development, specification sales or account management within the premium residential design industry An established network of architects, interior designers, decorators and other trade professionals Proven success in developing opportunities, influencing specifications and closing residential projects Strong understanding of the residential design, specification and purchasing process Excellent communication, presentation, relationship-building and consultative selling skills Strong commercial acumen with experience managing proposals, pricing and negotiations Experience using CRM systems, ideally Salesforce Fluent English and legal authorization to work in the United States This position is eligible for company-sponsored benefits, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and a variety of additional benefits and employee perks.
