Why Join Us? The Regional Sales Manager, Power will be responsible for driving sales growth and expanding market share within the Midwest region . This role involves managing relationships with key stakeholders, developing strategic sales plans, and ensuring customer satisfaction with Vaisala’s Dissolved Gas Analysis (DGA) solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales within the power industry and a deep understanding of transformer monitoring technologies. What's your role? Sales Strategy Development: Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve sales targets and expand Vaisala’s presence in the power transformer monitoring market within the region. Market Analysis: Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and stay informed about industry trends and competitor activities. Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at electric utility companies and manufacturers reps. Act as a trusted advisor to clients, providing insights and solutions that meet their needs. Sales Process Management: Oversee the entire sales process from lead generation to closing deals, ensuring a seamless customer experience. Utilize Salesforce to track sales activities and customer interactions. Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including product management, marketing, and customer service, to align sales efforts with company objectives and ensure customer satisfaction. Product Expertise: Maintain in-depth knowledge of Vaisala’s Power products and services, and effectively communicate their benefits to customers. Reporting: Work with assigned manufacturers reps to prepare forecasts for management, providing insights into sales performance and market conditions. What will you bring? Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of sales experience in the power industry, preferably with a focus on transformer monitoring solutions. Proven track record of achieving sales targets and growing market share. Strong understanding of DGA technologies and their applications in the power sector. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Ability to travel up to 50% within the region as required. ANTICIPATED SALARY RANGE: $110,000-150,000 annual base salary. You will also be on our sales bonus plan. (Salary is determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data).
