Job Summary: The Maintenance Technician will perform various maintenance on all plant equipment including, but not limited to changing parts, performing routine maintenance and dismantle and reassemble machinery to complete repairs. This position will report to areas that need assistance in repairing equipment and take action to complete repairs with a sense of urgency and accuracy. Job Duties: Perform various maintenance on all plant equipment as needed. Perform in-depth maintenance as necessary during plant shut-downs. Assist operators and specialists in troubleshooting and repairs of equipment. Make repairs and modifications to equipment. Install, replace, or change machine parts and attachments, according to production specifications. Record production, repair and machine maintenance information. Work with equipment manufacturers and outside contractors in repairs and modifications of equipment. Communicate with operators, specialists and managers to determine and coordinate maintenance priorities. Examine parts for defects, such as breakage or excessive wear. Authority to stop and/or modify work processes due to non-conformance and/or unsafe working conditions. Report all potential food safety concerns to the quality assurance manager. Perform all other job duties as assigned. Qualifications and Experience Requirements: 3 years’ experience with 480volt 3 phase electric 3 years’ experience as Maintenance Technician in an Industrial Setting Blueprint reading and understanding required PLC experience preferred/no programming necessary Background in Steam Generation Boilers preferred but not required Background in electrical and electronics required Strong mechanical skills with relation to industrial equipment Trained in OSHA Safety Regulations with regard to Industrial setting Must be self-motivated and able to work independently and as a member of a team Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposing to moving mechanical parts that produce noise.
