Manager Engineering Europe – End Making Location: Flexible within Europe Travel: Yes – extensive travel required (>3 days/week) Reporting to: Director Engineering Europe Lead the Future of End Making Technology in Europe At Trivium Packaging, we are shaping the future of sustainable metal packaging. To support our continued growth and operational excellence, we are looking for a Manager Engineering – End Making to lead and further develop our End Making technology platform across Europe. This role has ownership of the End Making engineering strategy, technology roadmap, technical standards, and performance improvement initiatives across our European manufacturing network. This is a strategic leadership role for an experienced engineering professional who thrives in complex industrial environments and is passionate about driving innovation, operational excellence, and high-performing teams. About the Role As Manager Engineering – End Making , you will be responsible for defining and executing the technology strategy for End Making operations across Europe while leading a team of highly skilled engineers and specialists. You will play a pivotal role in translating technical expertise into measurable business results by improving safety, quality, reliability, productivity, sustainability, and cost performance across our European operations. Working closely with plant leadership, business units, operational excellence teams, and global stakeholders, you will influence the future direction of End Making technologies and support critical investment and improvement programs. This position offers a unique opportunity to combine strategic leadership, people management, and technical expertise within one of the world's leading metal packaging companies. What You'll Be Doing Lead and Develop High-Performing Teams Build, inspire, and develop a world-class engineering team. Strengthen technical expertise, accountability, succession planning, and talent development across the organization. Create a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and knowledge sharing. Drive Technology Strategy and Innovation Define and execute the technology roadmap for End Making operations across Europe. Identify emerging technologies and best practices to improve operational performance. Drive the future development and standardization of End Making technologies across our European manufacturing sites. Deliver Business Impact Lead strategic projects and capital investments from concept through implementation. Partner with Business Units and Plant Leadership to prioritize initiatives that improve operational and financial performance. Ensure successful project delivery through effective governance, resource allocation, and stakeholder management. Standardize and Optimize Operations Establish engineering, maintenance, quality, and operational standards for End Making operations. Drive standardization of End Making equipment, tooling, and processes to improve reliability, maintainability, quality, and efficiency. Define performance benchmarks and KPIs while translating improvement opportunities into actionable plans. Lead Change Across Europe Influence and align diverse stakeholders across functions, cultures, and locations. Support Trivium Business System (TBS) initiatives and drive adoption of best-in-class manufacturing practices. Mobilize teams and build commitment around strategic priorities. What We're Looking For You are an experienced engineering leader who combines strategic vision with hands-on execution and has a strong passion for manufacturing excellence and technology development. Qualifications & Experience Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Technical Sciences, or Business. 10+ years of experience in industrial manufacturing environments, ideally within packaging, metals, or process industries. Experience with high-speed manufacturing processes and continuous improvement methodologies. Proven track record in project management, change management, and operational improvement. Experience leading multidisciplinary teams across multiple locations. Leadership Skills Strong people leadership and coaching capabilities. Ability to create and communicate a compelling vision. Skilled at influencing without formal authority and building engagement across complex organizations. Strong stakeholder management and decision-making abilities. Personal Attributes Results-oriented and highly organized. Collaborative and able to navigate complexity. Passionate about continuous improvement and operational excellence.
