Requisition Summary This position will be responsible for ensuring all major new development program’s Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEAs) are complete, thorough, identify all failure risks, and ensure they remain up to date. You will also, ensure that the Design Verification Plan and Report (DVPR) addresses all risks and Requests for Testing Services (RTS) are submitted and tracked to completion in the DVPR. Additionally, this position will manage test priorities meeting program requirements and ensure test properties are built correctly and on-time to meet test schedules. Hiring level for this position will be dependent upon education and experience. This position will work to identify synergies between program tests and test properties, resulting in a more efficient use of validation resources and reduce validation expense. This position will require a self-motivated person, that can operate with minimal supervision and occasionally require independent evaluation. Job Responsibilities Ensure Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEAs) are complete, thorough, and up to date in WRR. Work with Engineering Design and Reliability teams to complete FMEAs. Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related degree is required. 5+ Years experience in designing heavy trucks or their components. Proficiency with PowerPoint and presentation skills is required. Proficiency with Excel, Word, Project, and related computer software required. Ability to learn on the fly and adapt to change. Demonstrated team player with high level of initiative, follow through and flexibility. Must be detail oriented and capable of multi-tasking workload. Proficiency with PACCAR systems, processes, procedures and validation practices & principles. Use of established engineering processes and techniques and be resourceful in solving complex technical problems. Requires independent judgment and effective project management skills. If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.
Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.
Next, learn who's hiring. Accenture has posted 2,801 engineer roles. andurilindustries, speechify, and jobgether are also actively recruiting. If you're applying to one of these names, research their hiring patterns and interview style before you apply. That homework pays off.
When you interview, expect the question every engineer hears: 'Tell me about a time you had to debug a problem that wasn't in your job description.' Have a specific story ready—not a general one. Name the tools, the deadline pressure, and what you learned. Hiring managers listen for whether you see problem-solving as part of the role itself, not a favour.
