Job Description Stepan is seeking an Environmental Engineer to join our EHS&S team in Winder, GA. In this role, you will report to the EHS&S Manager. The Environmental Engineer will be responsible for overall compliance of the site’s environmental programs. This includes ownership, development, implementation, reporting, and continuous improvement of the site’s environmental programs and supporting the EHS&S functions. Key Responsibilities: Provide facility personnel with timely technical support and guidance to maintain compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations, company performance standards, and site procedures. Ensure reports and permit applications, renewals, and modifications, required by regulation, are generated and contain appropriate and accurate information, are complete and thorough, and submitted in a timely manner. Provide regulatory support and guidance for all new site construction, renovation, demolition, and modifications for timely completion of projects and continued compliance with all applicable regulations. Coordinate environmental education and events. Support the mission of the Environmental, Health, Safety, and Security group within the company as an EHS&S Professional. Qualifications 2 to 5+ years of working in a similar or related field within a chemical manufacturing environment. General understanding and knowledge of environmental media (air, water, waste, etc), infrastructure, and technological controls. Detail oriented. Technical writing and communication skills are required. Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools. Familiarity with public and private information management systems for permits, reporting, and task management. Strong working knowledge of environmental regulations. Education Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
