Requisition ID: [[id]] Role Summary Description We are seeking a Senior RF Test Automation Engineer to develop and deploy automated RF production test solutions for next-generation Wi-Fi products. This role sits at the intersection of RF engineering, software development, and high-volume semiconductor manufacturing. The ideal candidate combines strong RF measurement knowledge with advanced C++ software development experience and a passion for automation. Unlike traditional test engineering positions, this role enables you to shape the future of test automation through software ownership and technical influence. You will create automated code generation capabilities, develop reusable code libraries and framework building blocks, and establish standardized test software architectures that can be rapidly adapted across diverse ATE programs. Your work will help solve complex RF measurement challenges and advance next-generation manufacturing test infrastructure on a global scale. Key Responsibilities • Develop automated RF ATE test solutions for NPI and high-volume production. • Design scalable and maintainable software frameworks primarily in C++. • Support Cohu RedDragon test platform. • Improve yield, throughput, multisite efficiency, and test coverage. • Develop package, wafer probe and characterization test solutions • Interface with RF instrumentation and semiconductor production equipment. • Transfer robust test solutions to global manufacturing partners. • Drive continuous improvement through automation and data-driven analysis. Required Qualifications • BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field. • 5+ years in RF test, semiconductor test engineering, or test automation. • Strong C++ development skills. • Experience with Python and/or C# and/or Lab View • Unix/Linux and Windows development experience. • Proficiency with Git-based source control and collaborative software development workflows • Familiarity with modern software development practices including object-oriented design, software architecture and design patterns, code reviews, automated unit and integration testing, CI/CD methodologies, and software quality and maintainability principles. • Familiarity with modern AI-assisted engineering tools such as Claude, GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar solutions for software development, code review, debugging, productivity improvement, and technical documentation. • Knowledge of SPI, I2C, and MIPI protocols. • Strong analytical, debugging, and communication skills • Ability to work effectively across Design, Product Engineering, Manufacturing, and Software Development teams. Preferred Qualifications • Hands-on Cohu RedDragon experience. • RF FEM, PA, LNA, switch, coupler, duplexer, or multiplexer testing experience. • Experience with VNAs, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, power meters, tuners, and SMUs from various RF equipment manufacturers like Keysight, NI and R&S. • Familiarity with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, LTE, and 5G technologies. • Wafer probe and package test expertise. • Experience supporting offshore manufacturing sites. The typical total targeted cash range for this role is currently CAD [[MinimumPay]] - [[MaximumPay]]. If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.
Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.
Next, learn who's hiring. Accenture has posted 2,801 engineer roles. andurilindustries, speechify, and jobgether are also actively recruiting. If you're applying to one of these names, research their hiring patterns and interview style before you apply. That homework pays off.
When you interview, expect the question every engineer hears: 'Tell me about a time you had to debug a problem that wasn't in your job description.' Have a specific story ready—not a general one. Name the tools, the deadline pressure, and what you learned. Hiring managers listen for whether you see problem-solving as part of the role itself, not a favour.
