Purpose The Senior Construction Engineer is responsible for coordinating all construction activities in project / onsite , facilitating effective communucation between various stakeholders, ensuring they are carried out in compliance with the project HSSE, Quality and schedule requirements. You oversee and coordinate all technical and administrative construction activities, ensuring the project objectives are met efficiently and within budget and schedule. Responsibilities Your responsibilities include conducting the constructability review and provide input to Engineering. You conduct and oversee advanced technical evaluations, risk assessments, and feasibility studies to guide project decision-making. You provide guidance and advanced technical expertise on construction techniques to the project / site team, ensuring best practices are followed. You address operational challenges, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to improve construction performance and reduce non-productive time. You coordinate the interface and priorities between disciplines to solve construction issues, follow up on the construction status and progress to meet the schedule. You conduct and oversee advanced technical evaluations, risk assessments, and feasibility studies to guide project decision-making. You provide guidance and mentorship to the project construction team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence. If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.
Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.

When you interview, expect the question every engineer hears: 'Tell me about a time you had to debug a problem that wasn't in your job description.' Have a specific story ready—not a general one.
