Senior Project Engineer – PLC / SCADA Systems Role Overview We are looking for a technically strong and hands ‑ on Senior Project Engineer to support the delivery of PLC/SCADA projects from concept through design, integration, testing, commissioning, and maintenance. The role requires close coordination with customers and internal teams, strong troubleshooting capabilities, and solid experience in industrial automation systems. Key Responsibilities Lead and execute detailed engineering design , system integration, testing, commissioning, and handover of completed PLC/SCADA systems. Conduct factory acceptance tests (FAT), site acceptance tests (SAT), and support on ‑ site commissioning activities. Coordinate closely with customers, project managers, and internal engineering teams to ensure effective planning, execution, and adherence to project schedules. Manage and participate in factory testing at company premises as well as at customer sites. Perform hardware and software integration , including PLC programming, SCADA configuration, and system implementation. Ensure proper execution of engineering, integration, and maintenance works with full compliance to quality assurance and technical standards . Manage application program changes, hardware deployment, version control, and technical documentation. Implement PLC/SCADA solutions from conceptual design through programming and final deployment . Interface with SCADA and PLC systems across multiple platforms and subsystems. Prepare technical reports, drawings, and documentation, and support client meetings and technical discussions. Independently perform system troubleshooting, fault diagnosis, and issue resolution during testing and operations. Oversee the implementation of SCADA/PLC systems from conceptual design through programming, integration, testing, and commissioning . Manage and coordinate hardware and software integration , including system interfaces with other railway subsystems (e.g. signaling, power, OCC, depot systems). Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Electronic Engineering , or a related discipline. 3–5 years of hands ‑ on experience in PLC/SCADA engineering and industrial automation projects. Experience with PLC programming is required. Proficient in Schneider PLC platforms . Strong ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, drawings, and technical specifications . Proven ability to work under pressure, manage multiple tasks, and meet project deadlines. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Proven experience in technical leadership or lead engineer roles for large, complex SCADA or control systems.
